Distraught Kitty

Well, I had to say it.  And I really do not like to bring politics into my kitty life, but mama, papa and I are more than worried, for ourselves and for you, too.

Mr. Trump has elected as a labor leader a man who is strongly against raising the minimum wage, which Obama tried to do and failed due to opposition.  Mr Puzder, chief exec of Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s employees millions of workers who are paid minimum wage and he wishes to keep it that way.  Is this helping the poor?  Is this working for the people who struggle to make ends meet?  Think about it.  Ask your friends who make a minimum wage if this is what they voted for?

He has also picked Scott Pruitt, a man who DENIES climate change, to lead the Environmental Protection Agency.  Has the world gone mad?  At least it is clear now that Hilary got many more votes than Trump, which means there are still millions of Americans who feel this whole thing is a travesty.

Mr. Trump’s Twitter condemnation of the president of the United Steel Workers union(!), Chuck Jones, has outraged even Republicans such as Nicole Wallace, communications director for President George Bush and a top strategist for other Republicans. and who stated, “It is cyberbullying.  This is a strategy to bully someone who dissents. That’s what’s dark and disturbing.”  Mr. Trump appears to be shutting down anyone who speaks out against him.  This is AMERICA, readers.

WE HAVE FREE SPEECH.

The President of the United States does not have the right to bully, threaten or silence critics, and he is going to find more and more of those, even among the numbers of those who voted for him, in his future.

What a world.  Things are not going to ‘get back to normal’.  Life is not going to be the way it was for the working classes of America, it is going to be much, much worse.  Mama says “the knots will come to the comb.”  A wonderful Italian phrase that means, truth will out.  The reality of what is happening to our United States of America will be more and more evident as this man goes back on all that he has promised you.

Enough.

I’m just going to hang out with mama and talk about ways we can make our own lives better.  This government is certainly not going to do it for you.

NOW–read my muzzle:  NO MORE POLITICS.  Tomorrow I am going to give you a link to the most darling little loveable creature and just watching him will cheer all of us immensely.  Also a photo of a truly amazing-looking doggy belonging to a friend who sent the photo to Mya’s mama.  Pretty is as pretty does, as mama’s mama used to say.  This doggy is not what you would call pretty, but he is lovable!!!

Oh, heck, here he is.  I couldn’t wait, but try as I might, I couldn’t get HER upright either.  Probably being punished for getting into politics, haha.

Bonjour Loulou – Maman has been beside herself on those same two points as well. Guess the super-rich like it when everybody else is super-poor – and to heck with the future of the planet if it makes MOI the Super Rich even richer!! MEMEMEMEME -probably what he (the orange one) sings in the shower. OK I’ll shut up about politics TOO.

Maman can’t get that cute doggie out of her head either – the story is – she (I thought it was a he until I was corrected) showed up at the door one day in a miserable state covered with fleas. Now she’s just like us – another much-loved Princesse!! Except she’s in Natchez, Mississippi. I guess royalty is allowed there too.

Well, we’ve always heard that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and we bet to his mama, he’s the most beautiful pup since … um, Lassie. We think he’s adorable. He’ll grow into his teeth. Or his teeth will catch up to him. Perfection is often overrated, right?

The person chosen to head the EPA doesn’t look too promising in that area either, but I will not violate your ban on further political blather ! (I gather things can get a little peculiar across the pond too.) Thinking warm thoughts as winter sets in !
