Topsy turvy, getting back home and in the groove again…

The mortar-less walls of Cosa, a Roman ruin near Ansedonia.
Well, lots to tell! A brilliant sun, lovely sea and several really good cooks were only part of mama’s family reunion near Ansedonia, Italy and there were ruins nearby from a Roman colony that used Etruscan slave labor to construct 20-foot walls of stone with NO mortar!
Mama’s moving pretty fast today and besides, it’s wordless Wednesday, so we’re taking a little unpacking, filling the larder, weeding the garden, washing the clothes day. Back tomorrow with photos and FUN!
And thanks to all of you who had a nice little rest from my ramblings, haha.

Welcome back, Loulou, you were missed! Sounds like your mama and papa had a fabulous family time. Refreshing for the soul.
It was, it was, and that’s a great description of what it did. So lovely being around young people, mama says, and the guitar music was incredible. He is so talented and so kind and sweet and FUN.
Welcome home!
MERCI…so glad to be back.
Welcome back. I missed your posts. XO
Oh, Ms E, we missed yours and others’ too when mama didn’t have time to read and respond, R and R, haha. But we DID have that!
‘Welcome Back’!!
Merci, Meezer’s Mews!!!
Glad you are back and had a good trip ! Apparently that mortarless construction was knpwn ar9und the word 0 it show u in ruins in South America. Pretty amazing !
Well, the Etruscans were more on the ball than the lounging around Romans…at least with walls.
