So pretty here with lovely warm breezes from the sea and warm stepping stones and a very nice ‘brocante’ this morning right by the sea on our quai.
A little antique seller’s gathering and some sweet things for sale, even old nightgowns from long, long ago, and many vases and old linens and costume jewelry and baskets and well…you know those fun sales. Mama loves them and the history behind some of the items and today she found a lovely short vase, which is not often easily found, for 8 bucks!
Let’s hope mama has roses to put in it! This heat is discouraging our 🌺 s and wilting the squash leaves but the air is so wonderfully perfumed with the smell of the sea….Wait a minute! This is wordless Wednesday non?
Mama, shhhhhh……

Can’t help myself, Loulou, but I am mourning the loss of The Department Of Education. OUTRAGEOUS!! Idiots, all.

Sounds like your mama made a real find!
It’s very cute and so short…not like most vases.
Antiques are fun and so interesting – they all have a story to tell. My Mom and Dad visit antique places often and you can almost hear all the history the treasures hold. My Mom says she and Dad are now officially “antiques” !!! Tee Hee
Hugs, Teddy
HAHA you both have company….but I think we have to reach 100 to be qualified so many good days are ahead of our …uh…antique status.
That is a lovely picture of you in the sun, Loulou. Oh, and I love antiques too. I always think of the history attached to a piece, and who owned it before.
Mama loved that part, too. So many memories in each treasure….

Hear, hear.
I hope she shows us the vase. XO
Mama will put a photo in today. She is thankful for a little vase for flowers to cheer the day.
We enjoyed Mama;s words in complement with your wonderful picture,
Merci Ms Mary. Mama tries to find a few up-temppo words about sweet things instead of criticism for this downward spiraling government.
There is much of both good and not so good in the world right now, as always.
Oh, Ms Messymimi, we do see the positive, believe you me but the morning news has little to rejoice over….good to have a garden to visit and smell the flowers….
There is no need to educate children, no need for the next generation to learn, to grow. After all, they will be so much more easy to manipulate is they remain stupid … right …
not unlike starving their bodies “let them eat cake”, we will starve those little minds.
EXACTLY….except the rich are planning how to use gene knowledge to have only smart babies. Can you believe that? And what ‘smart’ means to them is frightening….
