No news except that mama made her plum puddings last night and today they’ll be doused with Cognac and wrapped in cheesecloth, then plastic wrap and frozen until the week before Christmas. Such good smells down there!
But frankly, my buddies around here would rather have a salmon roll or tuna cake. I’ll have to talk to the Blessed Baker and see what’s cookin’…
I think mama’s memory needs a little updating…

OUI, it is 7 degrees and brrrrrr weather. But sunny, Murphy and Cheeto, lots of sun puddles.
I’ve always wanted to learn to make plum pudding and a real fruit cake, not the weird kind from the store. Maybe someday I will.
It is NOT difficult, really. Mama steams hers in a large pot of water filled just to the half mark of the glass dishes full of pudding. She is posting it today.

Well, actualy they are for Christmas because they have to be soused…uh…doused with booze and then mellow out for a few weeks but yes, we think friends will be happy, especially those from the UK.
