We are BEAT!
Well, today was a bit too much for mama and papa because the kids and family left for Rome and that was SAD, SAD. And then they had forgotten to call someone they couldn’t visit but had said they would be visiting but that turned out okay because the person had more visitors than she could handle, too. And then there was a bit of rain but that quit and the kids sent a map to follow their trip back to Italy and that was a plus and now a friend is coming to dinner and the friend is ALSO leaving tomorrow and we are sad about that, too, as she won’t be back until November….
End of summer is lurking a couple of weeks away and mama does not like that at all. Hey, she’ll survive. No worries mate, except that bad darling Rasta has not shown up this evening because we think he knows that the granddaughter/playmate is gone and he is sad, too….
Oh, well. Have a lovely evening and enjoy the last days of a beautiful, if hot, summer…

You can feel it in the air, even with the heat, that summer is coming to an end. The Lady is kinda sad about it too. ~Murphy
Oh, mama is with The Lady for sure and it actually rained today, which was more a fall sort of day…
It’s always sad when we have to say goodbye to friends and family, Loulou. You’ll have to whisper in Rasta’s ear that he needs to comfort your mama.
Well, he did listen to me and showed up just now for his early supper and LOVED the codfish paté. Mama said it looked good enough for her, haha.
Well, that’s a lot of “SAD” in one day…..but know what? There’s always something around to make us smile even if we think it’s a totally SAD kind of day. I bet the peace and quiet will help make it relaxing and happy. Not sure what the photo is – all it says is “IMG 0167” but we’re sure whatever it is, it’s a great photo. Hope Rasta comes by even if his biggest fan has “left the building” !!
Hugs, Teddy and Mom
Oh, my cod, it’s a little video of Rasta playing with his suction-cup birdie that we attahed to the patio and he adores it. Mama will check my blog to see why it’s not able to be seen.
Oh, dear how quiet it will be at your place. It will take some getting used to!
O, Rasta, some day your girlfriend will be back…meanwhile allow the other kitty lovers to give you lots of pets and scritches, cause they love you too…
Well, today it was raining and he was at our door so mama let him in her office and closed the door to the rest of the house and fed him and dried him off and left the door to the outside open for him and eventually he left when the rain stopped and we hope he is at his own home and safe and dry. What a weird mama he has….
I hope Rasta shows up soon. I am sorry the company is leaving. Xo
Maggie wrote that she was calling him on the iphone to tell him to come, and he showed up shortly after!!!! So funny,
Safe travels to those returning to Rome and I hope Rasta is okay.
Brian’s Home ~ Forever
Rasta has been fed and dried off and protected in mama’s office but he left by the open door and has gone home, we hope!
We ho[e everybody got safely to their destinations and that Rasta has showed up all right. Welcome guests are wonderful, but their leave-taking is bittersweet too.
Oui, bittersweet is a good word for what they feel….and I do, too, because watching them have fun was nice for me.
And the rounds of life continue, we go back toward winter, and then summer comes again. All we can do is enjoy the gifts this day brings.
Oui, oui, and we so enjoy our days with your blog and your wise words. Merci Ms Messymimi.
