While I clean up for today’s events, I will share with you our annual Turkey Video for your morning giggle.
So thankful for humor in these somber days.
So thankful for you and you and you and your spirit and friendship and often guidance during the rough straits we are all trying to navigate as carefully as possible.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL.🦃

Mama’s cousin just sent her a video of the patio at his ranch in Texas and there must be a dozen turkeys all strutting around happy as…well…turkeys, and mama is wondering if he put out turkey food to entice them into hanging around for…uh…
…we don’t want to go there.
Mama said that if she were there, she’d make a big bang and holler just to see them all take flight. Wait a minte. Do turkeys fly?

Mama’s last roses sharing a vase with Carrefour tulips that never seem to get old!

we hope a lot of turkies will survive…MOL…Very COOL video, sweet Angel LouLou and we hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving too…we sure liked yours🐾😽💞
We had a lovely plain day of thanks but no turkey…Mama found HALF of a pintade in the freeze and so she stuffed the top half (it had no legs as the were eaten, haha) and made a purée and some Swiss chard and all was well.
We have wild turkeys around our house too. Though we haven’t seen any lately. Maybe they were all hiding.
HAHA, a very good thing to do on Turkey Day!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your mama, Loulou! I hope it’s festive and fun.
It was lovely and we hope yours was, too, but wait a minute…no Turkey Day in SA!
The video is too funny.
Yes, wild turkeys can fly short distances, and up into trees to roost where it’s safer.
I pray you are all having a blessed and beautiful Happy Thanksgiving!
And we hope yours was perfect, too.
Happy Thanksgiving wishes to all! Loulou you are such a cutie pie!
Merci, Ms Leah and we hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful. We are thankful for catwoodsporch!
THOSE turkeys would fly. The ones commercially bred are selected for meatiness.
I know, they just waddle around…gross, but mama and papa had wild turkey years ago with her brother in Texas and it was the BEST turkey they had ever eaten. Those Butterball thingies are pretty over the top….
Happy Thanksgiving! Beautiful blooms. XO
Merci, Ms E and we hope yours was perfect.
Happy Thanksgiving to yoo all!!!
Merci, Ms Gidget…it was a lovely day.
That was fun. Wild turkeys fly, farm raised do not. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Brian’s Home ~ Forever!
Merci, Mr T and we know yours was wonderful with all those little darlings having their morsel of the bird. I think.
We wish you the HAPPIEST Thanksgiving ever….we bet your house smells amazing with all the wonderful things your Mama will be cooking today. Just know we are THANKFUL that you are our friends – we look forward to hearing from you every time you post. Life would be so SAD without friends and we are thankful for them – each and every one.
Love, Pam, David and Teddy
Oh, we would not last a day without you, Teddy, and your beautiful mama and papa who lift our spirits EVERY SINGLLE DAY. Mama is sure that there somethin’ cookin’ in YOUR kitchen, too. Or you could heat up some Felix turkey pate for your parents, non? Forget I said that…just go for whatever it is they share with you, sweet kitty.
Yes, turkeys do fly, at least the wild ones do. I have seen it my self, cause we often have them around where we live. One day there was a tom with a big crowd of hens, he must be one busy dude! LOL!
Happy Thanksgiving!
(PS: Do you want our winter storm?? Teehee!)
HAHA “one busy dude”…you are sooooo baaad, you funny Murphy. Do they fly straight? They look lopsided in the bod.
They are a bit clumsy on the take off, but they get to the safely of the trees pretty quickly. They also roost in the trees at night.
Oh, how cute…a turkey roost every night! No wonder there are more females, haha.
