A little Sunday jaunt through Rome. I shall be your guide as I’m able to go everywhere!

One of many hallways of art in the Doria Pamphilli museum.

Acrobats who perform in the piazza Rotonda in front of the Pantheon.

One of so many Caravaggio paintings all over Rome and now there is a grand exibit that mama and papa will go to soon.

Throw in your coin. If you can get near the water! This is an old pic and now it’s difficult to get somewhere from which to throw!

The Pantheon, built by Hadrian around 120 AD wrote a faux dedication to Agrippa who had died more than a century earlier.
Ane here is the inside roof opening.

Santa Maria sopra Minerva, a spectacular church near mama and papa with a fascinating history.

The Pantheon again from another angle.

A little doll repar shop…mama loves their higglety pigglety window.
Well, more later…I need a rest from being a tour guide…
…ZZZZZZZ

Thank you for the stroll! So much beauty and history.
De rien and mama is only on the tip of the Romeberg…
Thanks for taking us along! Our #1 has only been to Rome once, and that was on a school trip when she was 16!.
COME BACK! Under the blanket of tourists, it is still…Rome.
Oh, sweet Angel LouLou, we loved the side-seeing of Roma. Granny has seen it all, she loved the statures, Fontana di Trevi with all the coinies to make a wish…MOL…although it was 45 years ago, she still remembers it all..but not that doll repair shop…that picture looks a little…well…let’s say Halloweenish…MOL😸 Double Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead to you and your mommy too🐾😽💞
Ha ha, the doll shop is rather…disturbing…but the anthro who puts them all back together is fascinating.
What a magnificent guide you are, Loulou. I absolutely love Rome and all it’s art and beauty.
Merci, Ms Militza, or should I say ‘grazie’…we’ll do another soon.
Beautiful photos. XO
Merci, Ms E. I love flying over all…
Thank you for the tour! It’s been so long since I’ve been to Rome, any reminders are a delight.
Donc, it has changed but underneath the tourists is still as beautiful as ever.
What a nice bunch of places to see, I’m jealous!
Brian’s Home ~ Forever
Uh…mama suggests that Mr Google might help, haha. And his pics are better, mama says.
I don’t know what dool or doolies are but I meant dolls and dollies, sigh…typos!
We kind of like dools and doolies.
Loved going on tour with you, Loulou! But…well that somehow looks like a dool mass grave! Shudders! I sure hope none of my former doolies are in there…
Not sure your doolies would allow themselves to be in that chaos!
So much incredible architecture; many buildings that you have photos of, were studied in my Art History classes in college.
Oh, how wonderful a class is that! And yes, just the structure of the Pantheon is a marvel.
The doll shop window looks like the stuff of nightmares. The architecture how ever is a delight. The crowds would put me off though.
After such a guided tour I think I need a rest, too.
Have a wonderful week, Loulou!
ERin
Better to have mama’s tour than to be in thousands of tourists, haha.
My Mom says she and Dad threw coins in the fountain when they were there many years ago and wonder whose pocket they wound up in! HAHAHA Beautiful photos of some beautiful places.
Hugs, Teddy
Merci, Mr Teddy, and that throw meant that they could possibly come back…wish they were here!
Thank you, Loulou for the tour of your beautiful city.
De rien, I get around far more easily than mama amd papa who have to battle touriss and traffic and cobblestones that need repair and more, but still, it’s Rome and lovely underneath the challenges.
