THE END OF THE YEAR IS IN 10 DAYS? WHOA!

*****

Well, not exactly stars on Sunday, but tonight, the Winter Solstice, longest day of the year and black as a black kitty here (!), there is to be a meteor shower to end all meteor showers. Wherever you are.

Do WE ever see these miracles? NEVER. Maybe our sky is just too bright to see them or probably just too cloudy or foggy. But we’re going to watch  anyway even if it is pouring rain, which is what we have all week!

On a happier note, just look at all the wonderful things growing with all this rain! Mama planted our broad beans late, late, and thought they wouldn’t respond, but there are now FIVE plants poking their little green leaves out of the ground to make those lovely beans for spring.

And yesterday our garden guru neighbor came by with a sack of just-dug red potatoes. It’s a sweet Sunday, rain and all…

And remember to breathe before the big day on Thursday. All will be well…even if your tree tupps over.
