You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life – Winston Churchill

What about this? Is this cool or what?

If only….they could stand up for something TOGETHER.

A lovely Monday story.
And another.
LOVED the hedgehog! Isn’t this a sweetl yearly event? Camels, horses, snakes, you name it and so many interesting people!!! Mama could have taken me to that but it was far away. Maybe one of you kitties, doggies, hedgehogs, snakies, spiders or whatever out there live close enough to join in! Wow, and if you do, please report.
And yet another Monday thought that’s more fun. And here is the guy who thought it up:
Despite chairing the University of Cambridge philosophy department for eight years, Ludwig Wittgenstein was described by his biographer as a “reluctant professor.” He did not believe that philosophy should be approached like a job, and he often attempted to dissuade his students from pursuing academic careers. Indeed, Wittgenstein changed direction in his professional life numerous times. For a while, he lived in a wooden hut that he had built next to a Norwegian fjord; he later contemplated farm work in the Soviet Union. Deriving from a 1948 journal entry that Wittgenstein wrote at age 59, this bit of advice reminds us that the celebrated author was, unfailingly, young at heart. Wittgenstein was wary of anyone who tried to elevate themselves above others by sounding smart. Instead, he preferred the authenticity of those willing to laugh at themselves.

One California thing I liked and brought home with me was Dia de la Raza, Roots Day. Everyone celebrates one of their ancestral cultures in a traditional way. At work or school it can become quite a party.
What a great idea…mama didn’t know about that, when she read you comment she first thought it was about plants, haha, and their roots. Mama’s roots are Bohemian when there was a Bohemia. Figures, haha.
The news media loves the sparring, it makes for great viewer ratings, but very bad running of a country. It would be nice for officials to sit down, define what they want to see government do, brainstorm ideas for how, and use the best of the ideas no matter whose ideas they are. It’s the only way good things ever get done.
Republicans are in the thrall of the maniac and could be HEROES if they stood up to him and got him impeached as a murderer and unstable human. He has just murdered more Venezuelans he calls drug lords, with no PROOF of who they are. Unbelievable.
Well those all made me smile, Loulou. Kurt Vonnegut is definitely another of my favourites.
Ours, too. What great imagination that guy has.
That elephant and the donkey seem to be rubbing heads with affection such as when a cat head bitts…Would it could be like that with our gov…um…wishful thinking!
I know, I know, but wishes sometimes come true.
