No mole for me…alas.
Well, mama’s friend, Anne, made the most wonderful lunch today and they didn’t even bring me a taste! But it was something called mole (at first I thought it was a little creature with paddle-paws and I couldn’t figure out why THEY would eat THAT!) from Mexico (pronounced MOH-lay) and had all sorts of lovely things in the sauce like chocolate, raisins, pepitos (pumpkin seeds, grilled), peanuts, ancho chiles, onions, cumin and more so you can see why they kept it all for themselves. But damn! CHOCOLATE.

Why do we kitties love chocolate so? I only get tiny, tiny licks from papa’s Magnum STICK (not the bar, the stick!) every now and then but really, that’s not enough to lick at. Ah, well, I guess I just have to get used to Party Mix or Whiskas Tartar Treats. Boring…

They didn’t give me any EITHER, Loulou. And I LOVE all that stuff, too.
Mama’s friend is a marvellous painter who can paint anything–all she has to do is look at it and bammo! A painting. She and mama will have a showing in May so they are hard at work getting it together and making (hilarious, from what I hear) attempts at figuring out what to feed guests.
Personally, I think they should serve steak tartar and fried squirrel and maybe a bit of sushi on the side, but no way, Jose. They never listen to me, even when I have support from Mya, the doggy, too. Mya wanted those tiny little hamburgers they always have at parties but do you think anyone listened to THAT? I have actually settled on mouse roly-polys (roly-moles?)–juicy little mice wrapped in a lettuce leaf with a nice mustard and put on fangpicks. That should please anyone.
We’ll just have to put our muzzles together and think of how we can influence the menu-making. I actually have a chef’s hat I can wear if they’ll just let us in the kitchen!

THIS IS NOT ME IN A CHEF’S HAT, as you can plainly see. Humiliating. But I liked the idea…

I mean, you can SEE that is not me, right?

We’ve never had chocolate. The mom never gives us any. Oh, and we know that kitty in the chef hat. That’s Harley (not Harvey)…he lives with Daisy the Curly Cat. 🙂
I thought I answered this. But yes, I think that’s Harley, sorry, not Harvey, that was a rabbit, haha. And I wrote Daisy to apologize for using her pic but it was on free google pics.
Chocolate. Jan loves chocolate but never shares any with us. Not even a taste.
Well, it’s very bad for kitties and doggies. I did my blog on Miggin, that bad doggy who ate ALL of a box of chocolate in my grandmother’s suitcase and left chocolate all over her new clothes.
Awww … that first picture melted my heart, Loulou. I’d give you whatever you want if you looked at me like that [Bear’s note: While she is quite the sucker for cuteness, she starts talking about what’s best for my “own good” … “Bear, it’s not for your own good to have so many treats …” Grrr.].
Doesn’t she know that ‘for your own good’ is CHOCOLATE (in tiny, tiny licks)?
ROLÉ MOLÉ!!!! Avec mouse – Loulou, you NEED one of those chef’s hats and maybe a Michelin star – your mamma does for sure!!! We missed you yesterday and had SUCH FUN!!! And I needed moral support since Papà had taken me for the dreaded toilettage (french for hair-do) and now i smell all perfumey (and not the eau de toilette that WE like!!). But i can see you laughing now!! THEY sure did, our anthros!!! Hmmmmm, chocolate……………
Mya, you looked so pretty, mama said. They never take ME for toiettage, but I have such short hair I’m not sure they could really do anything with it.
ummm, I think that chef am Harvey…Daisy’s housemate.
Of course LouLou would never wear a hat… or would you?
No Molay if dats stuff am chocolate… let’s make some grilled sushi in catnip sauce instead.
-Katie Kitty, Mom’s Tuxie Too
That chef was Harvey but mama didn’t know that and got it from FREE images on Google but apologized to Harvey’s mama. Mama doesn’t use pic that are not designated ‘free’.
You would look great in a chef’s hat LouLou. That mole looks good.
That mole was RICHE!!!
Goodness, LouLou, a French kitty like you should be able to advise on haute cuisine. Though I don’t know about onions in that chocolate concoction. (But ever since I read an article last summer about “Guiness floats” – putting ice cream in your glass of Guiness – I am suspicious .)
Ice cream in BEER? Oh, my cod, not for me. The ice cream, maybe. I think they confused it with ROOT beer floats.
Loulou, after you told us it wasn’t you, it was obvious…but at first glance! All those foodables sound delish and you as always are adorable! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy
It was Harvey, evidently, a kitty I do NOT know but now I do. Love to hear from ALL of you kitties. You must give your mama a run for her money.
Well hello there cuties! Looks like everyone’s having a good relaxing day! 🙂
Casey
Yes, we kitties know a lot but how to RELAX, we know better than anything.
