Feeling holiday-ish up here…
1. The easiest one on my Christmas shopping list to buy for is __just about any grandchild, who all help by saying what they need!
2. The toughest one in my Christmas shopping list to buy for is __my honey because at this time of life, he has just about everything!
3. MAMA trie to spread Christmas cheer by __making cookies for her art class and making up silly songs about Christmasy things. But…basically, the end of year doldrums try to get mama’s attention almost daily and she puts up good resistance, but oh for the end of 2025 and moving ON!!!!!
Still, to be in the day is so important to us right now. As the saying went yesterday, one can say “Hello, day. I’ve not seen you before!”
4. When it comes to __huge Christmas gatherings or parties, mama is a bit of a Scrooge. Every since Covid, she has felt that smaller groups are meaningful and easier to handle..

We turn not older with years, but newer every day.
(Mama says, hope springs eternal, haha)

Doldrums begone! I hope your mama can keep cheerful.
Oh, she is doing well and is off to the open market toay…always a lift to go there.
Good answers! The Lady is not a fan of big gatherings either.
SO many are choosing fewer peeps around at holidays…so much extra work, so much noise, etc. It’s the little anthros who make Christmas sweet.
Love that smile of yours Loulou (!)……my Mom and Dad spend Christmas Eve with our neighbors next door – they have dinner and “Christmas Crackers” for fun after then open presents…no parties or crowds – just “adopted family” ! Traditions are wonderful and meaningful.
Hugs, Teddy
What a great thing to do! Mama and papa have a small group for New Year’s around the 6th or so but maybe this year will be quiet…not much to party about but still, the lemons are getting ripe and there is no rain. That’s a plus! And there is also WhatsApp to connect with others far away.
Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I am with your mama on smaller gatherings. XO
Interesting how many are feeling that way now. A good time to reflect on the year and prepare for the next….
We are resisting winter depression right now as it was 11 (eleven) degrees F this morning.
OMC….too brrrrr for mama that’s for sure.
Those are wonderful fill ins!
You are correct with your #4m esp it holds true for us as well.
Well, perhaps for others, too…
Those are all good answers and hooray for cookies!
