Concrete Boots

Now I would NEVER do such a thing, haha.

Well, there was one bad doggy in this town many years ago.  And may be one on the loose right now.  Check this out:

Now how many of you kitties out there would actually walk over wet concrete, without thinking about consequences–getting it off when it hardens, trying to take a bath with your feet having just been in wet cement, disturbing the equanimity of your household and all its members (read: mama)–little things like that?

Maybe doggies just say to hell with it and have a romp in the ‘crete!  After all, the sea is right next to the walkway and they can rinse off right away with no residual béton on their paws.  That’s concrete in French.  Well, you’d have to be pretty concrete about your actions if you decided to walk through that slush with which they are repairing the walkway cracks.

Still, I think one has to think of good manners where wet concrete is concerned, but my very own mama cannot pass fresh concrete without wanting to put her hand or footprint in it or draw a kitty or doggy!  She needs some training.  I’ll get right on that one.

Now, mama, I hope you’ll think twice next time we pass that wet stuff, okay?

Okay, Loulou, but you may have to tug on my leash!

UPDATE ON KITTEN BOWL (thanks to Ms. McNeil and Dezi and Raena Bell):  As it turns out, TUXIES WON!!! And I wasn’t even there. Oh, well, nice to have relatives who know what they’re doing even if I don’t…

Miss Lou Lou, Nice to meet you.

* Look left & right , Make sure no one and whisper*
I have an experience over wet concrete. Not on the street but inside my house in Melbourne. They fixed fire place, Almost concrete drying time I walk on it. My mom saw me so she took me to wash straight away. Safe & Sound. Now we got a tenant . She is a lady. She has a dog. The dog will know a cat owns it! =^x^=

Maman is giggling – she says it was probably my predecessor, that BAAAAAAD doggie, Pepper, who left those paw-prints. He was always getting into mischief but was so funny and adorable, nobody cared – for long. But Loulou, WE would certainly not want to wind up with those cement boots. Just watch what happens in The Godfather!!!!

I love to see those little paw-paw prints. I hope you’re right about what happened to the sweet pet’s feet, too! A walk in the sea sounds just about perfect (or at least a lot better than a permanent set of hard boots!).

LouLou- I am so glad you enjoyed the Kitten Bowl ! And I am glad you are keeping Mama out of the wet concrete. It is always startling when you realize YOU are the adult in the situation !

Jan has never had the urge to play in concrete but she has noticed lots of humans love to play in it.

And what about our humans that tend to want to dip our paws in the “crete” to make a permanent print of our paw for posterity? What’s with that?! Mom hasn’t tried that with me, but she did with one of her kitties before me when she was a little girl.

If I were allowed to go outside, I would not go near that substance for fear it would be stuck to me furever! I agree with you that “one has to think of good manners.”

Thanks for sharing! Fun website! Purrs!
