New Kid On The Block

Mama, don’t embarrass me.  We have to show respect.

In the words of Bobby Dylan, “now’s not the time for your tears”.

I know there have been many shed of the last few days, months even, about the prospect of this change in our country, but ask yourself this: Isn’t it just a tiny bit exciting to take on this unknown? Isn’t this event bringing all of us who resisted this change together in a very profound way?

Gracious Obama and elegant Michele welcomed the Trumps into their home, gave them tea, and went over some of the basics of how it works–moving into the White House.  Gracious Obama and elegant Michele opening their doors to a guy whose wife modelled nude, but she’s gorgeous and we are a country of uptight, ofay puritans, so what the heck?

This bothers me a bit more:  Melania wore a $125,000 dress by John Galliano and a 12-carat, emerald-cut $1.5 million ring for her wedding to Donald in January 2005 in Palm Beach, Florida. They celebrated at a lavish reception at their Mar-a-Lago estate.

Oh, boy.

And how many of you out there are barely squeaking by each month, trying to feed your family and hopefully send your kids to college?

Something to think about.

Think of Trump as the new pushy, arrogant mutt down the block, to whom we kitties are going to teach a thing or two.  Or else.

You’re gonna do WHAT with Mexico, China, the EU, women’s and gay rights, minorities, immigrants, and the deficit?  Just try it…..

*****

And thank you, veterans everywhere, for your service to our country.  Let us hope our new president will follow through on his promises to you.

Well, here’s my two bits from maman’s rant I’ve been overhearing all morning – but keeping a low profile because Momma is in a state. She received a letter from the editors of The New York Times and she sent them a piece of her mind about how if they had given Bernie Sanders fair and balanced coverage this may not have happened. All the earlier polls (not that polls mean that much these days) showed that the US middle class was hurting (BAD) and shrinking (FAST) and the US was ready for a revolution. Not more of the same old same old. Bernie the Revolutionary has always been on the side of good and fairness – but they pretended he was invisible because they wanted “their establishment” candidate to win. SO she told them to look in the mirror and THEN ask themselves how this could have happened. Instead of looking in the mirror, maybe they should have looked more to the middle classes who are on the brink of poverty and look a bit deeper into why this is.

NOW, if you want to see ME growl like that schnauzer – that will be if Marine LePen gets elected here. What is the world coming to – ?! Can’t say they’re fighting like cats and dogs since you and I are sort of Best Buddies!! See? Anything is possible if peace and acceptance of differences are the rule.

The country’s infrastructure needs so much work – no one can dispute that.
Rising insurance rates have existed long before “Obamacare.” Health care issues need to be addressed.
Veterans issues are critical.
Just 3 of many issues we should all be able to agree need action.
We shall see.

And you in France are approaching an anniversary that all of us need to remember.

I say, LouLou, Daddy could have been a professional hair stylist! So original!

And you know what, this is what we all love and adore about the Good Old USA – the right to have different opinions, the right to express them (without physically hurting anyone of course), the right to vote – don’t forget that part

No matter our opinions, when it all comes down to it, we are all fighting for our country in the ways that we think are appropriate – so God Bless us All

Incidentally, I think that pooch is a very handsome fellah – in some ways reminds me of the greatest Bond Chap of all times, you know who I mean ..

Many hugs, Grandma Ros

Well LouLou, it is after all his money. obama has spent trillions of taxpayer dollars by giving it to his cronies and immigrants some of who have come to our great country with the sole purrpuss to destroy us. hillary said she woulda continued da same things obama did. obama gave himself a raise in salary while tellin’ those Americans on Social Security including many military Vets, they didn’t need a cost of living raise cuz da cost of livin’ didn’t increase as far as he was concerned. So while Americans like mommy and many others are here goin’ hungry, doin’ without many necessitites our purresident was givin’ away money our country didn’t have to peeps who wanted to destroy our way of life and puttin’ America in further debt.

We in our house are sooooooooooo grateful fur those men, women and anipals who fought and died to make us safe and furee from tyranny.

We are always happy fur those who can better themselves. Mommy says ifin she had Trumps wealth, after payin’ her tithes of course, she would have a huge lavish house she would share with kitties everywhere. But dat’s her passion. We all have different purriorities.

As always gawjus, we luv and adore you and hope you’re havin’ a good weekend. Big hugs fur all.

Luv ya’

Dezi and Raena
