Well, I would love to know how YOUR summers are going and what things you might have seen or done or not done or not seen, for that matter, but I would like to know that you are having a restful time and enjoying your naps and little breakfasts and suppers and the company of your pet anthros.
I mostly spend time on the couch, which I am told is normal for a summer kitty, but I don’t seem to drink enough water and mama worries.
Any suggestions? She mixes water with my food but then its…well…watery, haha.
And she doesn’t wish to PUT water in my mouth as it is a bit pushy and I really don’t like the water syringe and prefer to use it for emergencies, such as when the ship rocks too much and I lose my lunch and then need fluids.
Has only happened once, mind you. I’m pretty seafaring after several of these traumas.
But enough about me–what do YOU think of summer? And what’s a kitties favourite summer treat?

How long does summer last anyway? I’m suspicious that it may last too long for me. It’s HARD lying around on the back of a sofa, shedding.

Oh Loulou our mama keeps the cold air thingy on almost all the time so it could be summer or winter in here but we know it’s summertime because there is more light and more to look at outside the windows. We likes this more than the snows and ice that comes in the winter but since we sleep through most all of it anyhow we are always happy. Mama told us to say that.
Oh, boy, YES, much better than snow and ice!!! But sometimes the clime as they call it here in France is just too chilly.
The mom mixes water in our foods too. Why do humans worry about how much water we drink???
Well, mama tried water today and I slurped up my kibble with great glee. So maybe it works. Something about being ‘hydrated’. Papa hates that word and says, hey, how about just having a drink of water. But in the Austin Airport there is a little niche called HYDRATION CENTER. Oh, boy….

I did have a wonderful weekend watching the Olympics and that AMAZING gymnast, Simone Biles.
You are too cute LouLou. I think it is a good idea to add water to your food if you are still willing to eat it. Has your Momma put the faucet on for you to see if you want to drink from there? Or maybe you would like a people cup instead of a bowl? or a water fountain?
Maybe a water fountain would be nice. I love to drink from our bird bath but you never know what’s in THAT! Actually, it’s only when papa fills it that I use it. Maybe just a very big water bowl, haha. Thanks for your help!

Oh LouLou, summer can never last too long. We much purrfur da warm temps to da cold. As fur dat drinkin’, a fountain might help, and/or an ice cube in da bowl. Now da cube could be made with nip tea or just water. And of course some cooled nip tea is also an option. It’s a little warm, but chicken broth might help, as well as tuna water. You can add flavors to da water to entice kitty to drink as well as to da noms. Mommy’s done a little of it all thru da years. MOL Good luck gawjus. enjoy dat sofa loungin’.

WOW< those are wonderful suggestions. So many good ideas from such kind and thoughtful kitties as you. Mama's in there now putting something in the bowl; better go take a look.
Do you have a kitty fountain, Loulou ? Or a leaky faucet ? That appeals to many kitties. Do you like gravy foods ? Fancy Feast makes some “broths” – but I don’t know what’s available in your part of the world.I hope you are doing all right and some of this heat just scales back. It was 90 F here today again .
GREAT IDEA to have a fountain all my own. We’ll look into that asap. It’s hot here, too, but mama loves it and I just sleep through it.
