Faux Food Fights

Don’t be fooled!!! That kitty wouldn’t know a cherry tomato if it bit him!

Well, I’ve been thinkin’.

Mama feeds me right on time every day, morning and night (well, with a few exceptions when she has put too little on the plate in order to make me svelte and beautiful and I am in disagreement about that), but sometimes, only sometimes, mind you, her attention is on other things— the garden, the kitchen, her canvasses, etc, and it simply slips her little pea brain…er…sorry, mama…her GIANT expanding brain, to add the OLIVE OIL to my dish. Yes, olive oil.

For good health, for nice fur, for clear eyes, for whatever and the list is long, but when it’s not there, I know it. The olive oil, that is, not the list.

Actually I have to admit that I am suspicious about how mama gets me to eat when I am finicky. Hey, leftovers are great for anthros (how would mama create any new recipes?) but for kitties? No way, Jose. We have noses that can smell out food that is older than, say, 30 minutes.

Make that 30 seconds…

BUT, sometimes when I leave food in my dish and act up, mama mashes the leftover food with a fork and drips a little new olive oil on it and pushes it around with her finger and I am led to believe that my food is NEW and delicious since she touched it!  How dumb can you get?

The truth is, I can’t tell the difference, and eat it.

I just hate to admit that.

Well, it would be a helluva lot easier to get me to eat if they’d give me food!
