I can’t keep up with those birdies!!! Exhausting…
Donc, we have TOO many pigeons because mama feeds the wild birds and their seeds drop into our gravel underneathj the feeder and voila…intruders. Mama has made pets of two, a lovely brown one and her mate whose feathers look like two pairs of Levis on his back, haha. And they come when called. Has mama mentioned that pigeons recognize FACES?
But now other BAAAD birdies have come, obviously feeling a bit peckish, haha….
OH NO, one is sitting in the birdbath and heaven knows what he is doing there!!!!
Mama’s off to scatter them with a water gun (not that they scatter–they seem to love it in this heat, haha).

Did your mama name her pets?
Oui, the lady is Brownie and her mate is Levi…because the paternity on is back feathers looks like a pair of jeans!
I didn’t know that pigeons could recognize faces, Loulou! That’s fascinating. I have two love-bird (the name I’ve given them because they’re always preening each other) pigeons that I watch in a tree every day. They’re super cute.
Well, they do and they know mama for sure. And we think they are a couple for sure because of the preening and cleaning and …uh…other affections…..
If you feed one bird, it seems they all find out. Too much gossip?
HAHA around here it’s true…a small town…
When birds find a good restaurant, they tell all their friends. XO
Uh, oh, maybe mama should put out our old bird balls again…not this yummy wild bird seed!
We don’t see any pigeons at our house but he Bluejays don’t play nice with others!
Brian’s Home ~ Forever
Oh, bluejays are the worst! They were part of mama’s childhood memories!
Crows have been often proven to recognize faces, and to remember the pnes that have done them harm or good, so it isn’t surprising that other birds can too. The “bad” biirds are probably loving Mama;s cooling showers too.
Ha ha is that why they fly into the squirts instead of away? Mama’s probably giving them a lot of fun and they come to play with her!
Awww, evden the ‘junk’ birds get hungry. That is why I no ,longer shoo away all the voracious starlings, grackles and cowbirds…
Maybe your pigeons like the ‘free bath-times, too!
Okay, mama says she’ll just give in and let them have dinner!
S’riously, Loulou … there really are not any “bad birdies”, they all need a place at the feeding station [even if only picking up what’s fallen to the ground] … and a chance to sip fresh water, or have a refreshing bath. Right? Please say yes, right, thank you! Remember that beautiful song, “Feed The Birds” …
You are absolutely right…enough for all. And they are really sweet birdies.
I’m sure they LIKE having a free shower from the water gun!
Hugs, Pam and Teddy
HAHA that’s just it. They LOVE it.
