However, all mama’s “maybes” about opeing a restaurant causes papa to say, uh, could we re-think that one right now!

Any ideas of what to do with yard-long squashes that have no taste, haha? Anyone have pigs? I could mail them….but they may get squashed in the mail, haha.

All week long! It sounds like you’ve had a mostly great week.
Squash with no taste? Pan fry in bacon fat, that was the only way to get a vegetable down my Sweetie’s gullet.
Haha, that will tempt any bacon-lover. It’s just that this “gourd”, which is actually is, really is totally bland so mama has learned that it grows a great hedge, but not for food. Even our two Sicilian family members say that they really do NOT like it, not matter the bacon or onions or whatever they tried to cook with it. So ironic but it IS a conversation piece!
Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, greet answers. Your mama’s restaurant would be popular. No idea what to do with overgrown squash. Some shred it to make bread. XO
WOW, mama is looking into that, but strange that it has NO discernible taste!
Yes, out here in gardening country we call it “fesr of zucchini”…afraid of waking up to a basket of them abandoned on the front porch like orphans. Good luck.
HAHA that’s priceless…Mama will try to find her New Yorker cover (not accepted) featuring a squash…
Good fill ins! Your squash image looks sort of like a goose or a duck! Maybe you can turn some of your squash fruits into art!
If only…not sure mama’s imagination can grasp that one. Maybe paint a face on the big part and…uh, oh, let’s not go there….
Here you go…
LOVE THIS….love the feet and what a clever idea! WONDERFUL…wish we could give these squash to the ducks!!!
I think the feet look better this way…
PERFECT!!!! SO CLEVER!!!!
