I am watching our squash take over the garden!!! See below!
🥒🥒🥒
Well, our open market was a blast today…our fish lady had sweet little clams for spaghetti with clams and all was right with the world. Our little bistro makes a lovely iced coffee and mama and two friends started the shopping day with that, what’s not to like?
All the stone fruits are in but not very tasty this year…maybe it’s too early but with this hot weather, mama’s Sicilian squash is growing a few inches every day and will soon take over the garden fence, making cooling shadow for the eventual tomatoes. Which are growing way too slowly, does anyone have this problem?

These squash will eventually be more than a foot or two long! Will report, as I am keeping an eye on them from up here to make sure they do not squash our other veggies, haha.
Love from us, always. The USA beat Paraguay in the first World Cup match but seeing the enormous LA stadium and all the frou frou when the games opened made mama (and papa) very sad…
Still, the USA has fine atheletes, and their coach is Italian!
Hey, mama, I brought this down when you didn’t see me…have a ball!

Just think what you will be able to do with all the squash!
HA HA HA and there are more coming….we can feed the whole village!!! Need new recipes!!!
I have no advice on gardening, I can only grow weeds and crabgrass.
Have a blessed week!
LOVE that, and it is growing something!!!
I love the shot of you with the soccer ball. Your mama’s zucchini is way bigger than ours. XO
She just harvested what you see in the blog today, if you can see it at all before error happens!!
How good you look with that “futbol” LouLou ! AND HOW LOVELY MAMA’S GARDEB LOOKS. (Those jug-shaped squash of Uncle Roy’s were Hubbards I believe.)
Yes, Hubbards and so so delicious in winter dishes.
Loulou, it is always nice to see you. That is the most amazing garden. Our mom and dad would love to have a nice garden, but we have too many wild critters in our area. You wouldn’t think it would be that way living only 1 mile from downtown. Happy your mom was able to enjoy some time with friends. Thanks for hopping with us, Loulou.XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid & Sawyer, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Kiz et, Audrey, Raleigh, Gibbs & Tali
You are so welcome and we hope our error problems will be solved shortly…thanks for your wonderful visit and comments.
Hi there you awwdorable sweet Angel😻Our tomatoes are waiting for the Sun, like all our flowers, maybe then they’re having a ball too😹Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day to you and your mommy too🐾😽💞

LOVE markets with mama. I watch with glee!
Oh, Loulou, I never realised you were so talented with the football. Surely you will be picked for one of the International teams?
My, I wonder what’s is up with tomatoes? too little water and or food, maybe?
As I am not keen on that plant I don’t mind, but I am sure your staff will want a better crop. Maybe an internet search is due.
Good luck to all the teams, and hopefully the best and nicest sides win.

Merci, Ms Erin and we are not sure we will watch the World Cup….Trump was rude to players and is such a shit in general that we do not wish to support anything he does.
The squash looks quite happy…..I’m sure your Mom has lots of yummy recipes for squash. Maybe your tomatoes are slow because they are taking time to be EXTRA YUMMY this year? We don’t have a garden – Mom shops at the local Saturday market where everyone else who DOES have veggie gardens sells their stuff. Nothing as good as “real homegrown food” !!!
Hugs, Teddy
Oh, so happy that you have an open market with homegrown goodies.
