THE END OF THE YEAR IS IN 10 DAYS? WHOA!
*****
Well, not exactly stars on Sunday, but tonight, the Winter Solstice, longest day of the year and black as a black kitty here (!), there is to be a meteor shower to end all meteor showers. Wherever you are.
Do WE ever see these miracles? NEVER. Maybe our sky is just too bright to see them or probably just too cloudy or foggy. But we’re going to watch anyway even if it is pouring rain, which is what we have all week!
On a happier note, just look at all the wonderful things growing with all this rain! Mama planted our broad beans late, late, and thought they wouldn’t respond, but there are now FIVE plants poking their little green leaves out of the ground to make those lovely beans for spring.
And yesterday our garden guru neighbor came by with a sack of just-dug red potatoes. It’s a sweet Sunday, rain and all…
And remember to breathe before the big day on Thursday. All will be well…even if your tree tupps over.

All will be well, and if the tree tups over, you’ll have another funny Christmas memory.
Oui, and Christmas memories are the best…
New potatoes are always “sweet”
OUI and these are so tasty…our neighbor uses horse manure in his soil and everything he grows tastes good.
As the world will now turn a little bit lighter, brighter with each new day ~ let us hope, yes hope … it may bring some bright light into a world desperately in need of enlightenment.
We shall hope with you, and there are anthros in the USA like Mr Talarico from Texas who are calling out the rotten government that has upended our country. A very brave and wise man and there are more of him coming. Many Republicans are turning after having expeienced health care costs, cost of living, cost of housing and violent ICE attacks on citizens.
