This is a wonderful day. I’ve never seen this one before.
And oh, what a moon last night! Mama finally put up our little tree…well, it was already up, but THEY put it in the house and mama suffocated trimmed it with old and wonderful ornament. But many of our decorations do not fit on a tiny tree, alas. Mama’s brother had a company called Potsdammer Zinhsoldaten and he made lead soldiers from the age of 14, but also made ornaments for the family for Christmas. The standing figures are his ornatments. The rest are wood and ancient…like mama, haha.

We are thankful for all of you, dear readers, who inspire our lives DAILY!
Have sweet and calm and lovely holidays. Twenty plus days go by very fast!

The star is an ornament mama has had for a very long time from her family. It’s a silver star you could wear as a necklace! Well, sort of…

What delightful ornaments! They are all so carefully preserved, how wonderful.
They are very lovely and mama’s brother was really an artist.
The Lady didn’t put up the big tree this year…because of me and Cheeto. But we have a little one. ~Murphy
Hey, think of all the work you saved her!!! Smart cookies.
THat is a pretty tree and we love your ‘heirloom’ ornaments that your Mama’s brother made. They hold precious memories, I am sure!
Oh, they do and we love them every day of the year.
Fun, fun, fun, love the tree and decorations.

Well, small is the word for live trees around here. We don’t have a pot big enough for a BIG one.
Such beautiful old ornaments carrying on a wonderful tradition !
And there are more, but mama is giving those to the kids.
Beautiful tree and ornaments. XO

The tree looks beautiful!! We have an assortment of old and newer ornaments – several from my Mom and Dad’s childhood and some in honor of Angel Sammy and ME!…..Mom says our Christmas tree is also a “memory tree” and every year when she decorates she remembers………..
Hugs, Teddy
Oui, mama does that, too, and aren’t they sweet, those tree memories? Now you have the best present ever under your tree…golden and purring.
