Thanks For The Memory!!!

(I sneaked in to mama’s office to get this post out! THEY were busy greeting our visitors who, by the way ADORED me and kitty-sat once so I have to forgive THEM)

Well, if mama HAD one!!! A memory, that is.

SHE FORGOT YESTERDAY’S POST  (!)so this is it along with Friday, and to start off, we are thankful to be HOME (well, two of us–one of us a bit higher up) and that our longtime friends arrived from where they were visiting friends in Spain and last night mama made broiled salmon with soy and ginger and potato/carrot purée and an apple cake and the friends went home to their little apartment they rented for a week and all of us, well, not all, but most of us, are going to have a lovely week of memories and cooking and noodling around, as one of the friends calls it, and they brought all sorts of exotic edible presents so we’ll be tasting those and now I’ve run out of run-on sentences.

We are so thankful for friends who come all the way from Salt Spring Island to visit, and especaially for you, our tolerant and patient readers, who had zilch to read yesterday! Culpa MAMA.

1. My first celebrity crush was __well, not really a crush but James Dean was pretty cool.

2. If I could make up a new holiday it would be called __ White Truffle Day Only 1$ A Bowl.

3. Sitting in a hot  tub and doing nothing__ is the last thing on my mind these days.

4. If my __kitchen could talk, it would probably tell me ___how happy it is to see me each day because we have so much FUN.

Poached eggs on toast with steamed asparagus.

Fill small cereal dish halfway up with water. Break egg into it. Set microwave for 45 seconds. Turn on. Remove poached egg with slotted spoon and serve.
