Is my conscience really an INSECT? Wow, the things I never knew…

The more you obey your conscience, the more your conscience will demand of you.
~
C.S. Lewis

Which meant to me and mama that to be friends with one’s conscience is a step in a very interesting direction, because we will always meet up with queries and quandaries that need help from our conscience.

We have a built-in Jiminy Cricket (a disney name given to him) that either becomes our close friend or is put on a back burner, as was The Cricket when rejected by Pinocchio who disagrees with the cricket’s advice to him to get his act together and is crushed by a mallet thrown at him by Pinocchio. He does come back as a ghost but that’a another chapter…

Which is to say, a conscience will definitely call upon you during your life and you can welcome it or disdain/crush it.

In our present governent, for example, the word, it seems, hardly surfaces as a tool for any decision-making,

Such a pitiful crew, unconscionable is the word we would choose to describe this motley group…

May your Monday be touched by a nice visit with your conscience if you are troubled by something.

Conscience is a good thing. With the help of The Good Lord, a daily conscience assessment is important.
