Well, today I am stepping aside so that mama can introduce you (again) to Rasta, our neighborhood kitty whose mama and papa we cannot figure out and who live just up the street. But when Rasta showed up a few days ago, he was so thin and seemingly starving, it seemed, and as we watched him eat, we just said, to hell with not feeding the neighbor’s kitty…this kitty needs food!

We have been told that some kitties are left to forage by themselves when their family takes a holiday. Unbelievable. But maybe Rasta’s mama and papa are off galavanting and just left him alone, but the street door to his home on the second floor is open so he can have some shelter. Mama is going to look into this….and when she looks, she looks.

Rasta leaps our tall garden gate, heaven knows how, but he shows up at breakfast and dinner and eats voraciously, whatever that is, but I think it’s a good thing.

He’s 17 after all, but you would never know it from those lovely young yellowish eyes and soft fur, even if it is covering a pretty skinny frame! I’m hoping he will be around for a long time, as he has bonded with papa and rubs on papa’s shoes and legs and papa loves him back.

He needs love and snuggling.

Rasta’s, that is, as papa gets quite a bit of that, haha.

A cute kitty in the catnip leaves…he is like a kitten…at 17!!  Rasta, that is, not papa….
