Just making sure that our neighbor’s garden is okay…

(5.51 inches high)
Little things mean a lot….like this short sweet glass vase mama found at an antique sale in our village yesterday. Mama had never seen one so short and so cute…and so cheap, haha. Now if only the rosies would have a second summer bloom, but this heat is inhibiting their bravado, whatever that is.
So thankful for all of the dear friends we have made through our blogging. You all feel as if we have known you forever. Merci. You lift our spirits, you make us laugh, you touch our hearts with your comments and consolation about this disturbing world.
Merci.
And thanks for this little flower that popped out of its plant last night and we don’t know its name as we have never had a plant like this, a gift from a friend. What is it, so darling and sweet and delicate?

The flowers are beautiful!
Merci, Mr Murphy…we kitties love flowers, especially the ones that bloom on the cat mint!!
Love the beautiful short vase – they are rare – usually they’re big heavy things and it’s nice to have something small and beautiful for a bloom or two!
Hugs, Pam
And that mama can CARRY instead of yes, those huge but beautiful vases that are…well…getting heavier….
Beautiful thank yous, Loulou, we are very thankful for you and your mama. I love these pics, especially the one of you being a nosy neighbour – too sweet.
Well, merci, Ms Militza. I do have to keep tabs on our neighbor’s wonderful garden to make sure there are no intruders, like those bad birdies who peck at his strawberries…
Pretty flowers and nice things to be thankful for!

Like your darling kitties and the Cat Blogosphere!!
Beautiful vase and wonderful thankfuls. XO
So thankful for you and family and merci for your sweet kitties.
That plant looks like a gloxinia, ts in the same family as african violets. You could google it. They sure have big beautiful blooms!
Such a cute wee vase, for your gorgeous roses!
Merci, Meezer’s Mews, and yes, it is a gloxinia. Mama has never had one but it’s mow part of our kitchn!
That vase looks substantial enough not to tip over an spill if Mama puts longish flowers on display in it. Of course you would never bump into things. (We love the picture of you as a Garden Guard too !)
HAHA I was not a ‘bumper-into-things” kitty but I was a tupper-over=er….
Those are some sweet blooms, that’s what I love about summer is all the flowers. It’s hot here too, but Texas is always hot in the summer. Take care and enjoy your blooms!
OH, mama remembers summers in Houston with too much humidity and air conditioning and everyone with colds all summer, haha. Just kidding. The neighbors had a pool….that was nice but what she misses (and the ONLY thing she misses) is fresh-picked crab meat in large containers…still available at Whole Foods in Austin where mama and papa spent four years a few eons ago. Nummy….
Two pretty pictures. Thanks for sharing.
De rien…it was a nice find.
