Mama urges anyone interested in how our democrocy began to watch this fascinating short film by Heather Cox Richardson that is done so well and informs us of our possibly forgotten the resitance to a dictator king that marked the beginning of freedom and justic for all. It is not long and mama and papa were taken with the down-to-earth reporting of how we, as a colony of brave men and women against the ruthless KING and his troops, kicked ass (!), excuse my French, haha, to achieve self-governing and liberty.
These very short episodes of history that mama had studied in school (and forgotten) were brilliant!
Brava, Heather!!!!
And did you know that the T-appointed leader of our navy, never a soldier, thought that Pearl Harbor Day was in June? Jeez, Louise….

The Lady follows Heather Cox Richardson. She has been a wealth of knowledge during these unprecedented times.
Oui, Ms Richardson is a wealth of FACTS and knowledge but we wish the right wing Trumpites would open their eyes to what is happening to ALL OF US.
It’s not easy to be a representative republic, it’s very easy to lose it.
Oui, so true. But none of us reaized how easy it could be until this maniac showed us.
We’re always happy for a “lift” and that was one for sure……That was very cool!
Hugs, Pam
Merci, Ms Pam and things seem to be moving, althoug slowly, in a postive direction.
Oh man, things keep getting worse.

They are being far more scrutinized now than befoe…a good sign. And he is getting crazier than before, which will promote more scrutiny.
Thanks for sharing. I will check it out. XO
Merci for taking a look but you NEVER have to click on links or read anything that doesn’t work with your life, dear Ms E.
Probably had it mixed up with ARBOR Day.
Ha ha that is priceless…
Not going to comment on your present day leader, but I do want to say that it is rather annoying when Americans keep referring to King George as a dictator. The UK, by that time was a constitutional monarchy, in which the real power was in the hands of Parliament, not the hands of the King!
A very good point and mama will amend her comments on that, but, the colony of future Americans was not being treated very well and being in a brand new piece of the earth instead of on English soil, one an see the impetus to explore the newfourd freedoms in an unknown piece of the earth. Thank you for your very helpgul view and input! So sad to have to have battles and loss of life to attain freedom for all. Let us hope it does not come to that in the USA…
Dictators everywhere should take note that eventually the people rise up and overthrow them. Your stretchy selfie is wonderful, dear Loulou. Puts me in mind of doing some yoga myself. After lunch maybe….. 😉
Erin
Oui, after lunch sounds like a good time. Or…after dinner… no, exercise is best in the morn…or maybe do some nap yoga, haha. And yes, they are overthrown eventually. It’s taking FAR too long with this one.
