We are, as always, thankful that we have blogger friends who make us laugh and think about things and tell us about their animal-filled lives and give us smiles each day.Mama is in Rome and the Pope will be taken on Saturday to Santa Maria Maggiore where he will be buried.
We are thankful that he did so much good during his time as Pope for those less fortunate. A kind man, a gentle man, and we are thankful that he will be remembered as such.
We are thankful for the lovely sunny days in Rome and for fewer tourists than we had imagined, most of whom are staying near the Vatican, not in our neighborhood.
And we are thankful that on May 3, there will be a huge protest against Trump and his lackies in Rome by the Democrats in Europe and it will be held in one of the largest piazzas in Rome. Mama will report.
Thank you for being such good friends. It is a time when good friends are sorely needed.

The Pope was quite a positive force to so many – not just Catholics but the world. Glad your Mama and Papa are enjoying their trip to Rome. We are enjoying sunny days and green leaves and flowering plants and the arrival of Spring to lighten our heavy hearts.
