Even that Rasta who now comes morning and night for SNUGGLES!!! Even papa snuggled him yesterday and now he wants PAPA to come outside and distribute caresses!!!
What’s the world coming to? Is everyone ready for Easter and Passover? Mama and papa will be in Italy with the family and they will be making lasagne and artichokes and Easter thingies and mama will be making focaccia and a tart of greens and who knows what else, but Easter is BIG in Italy, especially Rome where Il Papa lives! The Pope is better, thank heaven..
A cart pulled by 4 white oxen, whatever they are, will hold fireworks and a white dove (fake) will fly into the cart and ignite the sparklers and that’s just ONE of the rituals in Rome at Easter and it happens just around the corner from US!
Franklly, I will be checking this out, at a distance, because my little ears do NOT get along with big bangs!!! But it’s a pretty cool spectacle, non? More on that after it happens….

Well, mama would likke to see the 4 white oxen and fireworks but there will be TOO many in the streets so they will get to mama’s stepson’s house asap where it’s QUIET!

OH, BOY, do we ever! But mama will take a focaccia and it’s nice to get to know her step-daughter-in-law’s relatives. All so nice.
Easter is a big deal. Not everyone agrees but I love the sunrise service on Easter Sunday.

You bet your booty it is LOUD and CROWDED but mama and papa will hightail it out of the center to mama’s stepson’s house. Peaceful garden and quiet, that is, the kind of Italian quiet among 14 people! HAHA.
I hope the tariffs are off for a good long while as I don’t know how we will afford to feed 9 kitties and our ferals if pet food costs go up any more.
