Home Again, Home Again

MAMA, stop taking my pic, I want to get down and EAT!

Well, THEY finally picked me up to take me back where I belong, complete with a wrist bracelet that doesn’t come off easily. I think it’s supposed to stay there for the next tortuou…er…visit to be tested.

Next Tuesday.

AND…there is a new drug for kitties with arthritis called Solensia that is supposed to help the pain enormously so that we kitties can once again jump up on beds and laps and things the way we used to…

The bump in my back was evidently caused by muscles tightening up to deal with pain, jeez, who knew?

We kitties do not let on about our aches and pains, which means we walk around hurting and no one knows.

My question is: If this miracle drug blocks pain receptors naturally, and the worn down cartilege is still being worn down, but with no pain, doesn’t that mean that one day we will feel pretty awful when no cartilege is left?

Look, let’s table that one.

I’M HOME, and that’s that for now. And I’m receiving less insulin and that’s a plus. Just have to pee into a cup for a dipstick…uh…let’s change the subject…

Meanwhile, I am thankful for you all and the good vibes you sent to me while I was in priso…at my nice new vet. MERCI!!!

After I have a little rest, LET’S PARTY!!!

I’m glad you’re home, Loulou, and I hope this new drug helps you. The mom is going to ask about it when I go to the vet next week. ~Ernie

That’s a super photo of your Papa carrying you Loulou – I know he and your Mama missed you A LOT while you were incarcerated! Nice that you need less insulin – AND that they figured out you were hurting and maybe THAT meant you didn’t want to eat much. Well, sounds like maybe you are BETTER now – we hope so.

Hugs, Teddy

LouLou, less insulin and the bump being a tight muscle is goodn news ! Those hospital bracelets are a bear to get off even if you have thumbs – especially when they put them on your right wrist and you have to try to snip them off left-handed (even when you have thumbs).
So more tests ? We will keep the purrayers and Power of the Paw coming.

SO glad you are back at home, LouLou!
That new arthritis drug, well I haven’t heard of that yet. Wonder if its good for dogs as well? I shall have to do some research.

Senior furry ones and the human ones, too; sure cannot be sissies!

Hang in there LouLou! You are loved and that is thhe best of anything at any age!

Thanks for that article…though that is not yet here in the USA…I’ll ask my vet about that when I next go there, i might need it in the future…our pups are youngish yet, so not an issue right now. But it sure was for our MJF and some of our senior cats, esp Pipo.

It is available in the US but many vets aren’t familiar with it yet and therefore, aren’t prescribing it.
