Girls just want to have fun…
Well, mama says she remembers Saturdays and Sundays as the days there was NO SCHOOL. HOORAY and she used to go on weekends with the neighbor’s kids to a 10-cent store (remember those?) and find little fun things to play with and nothing cost very much. Mama says they each had 50 cents…whoa…won’t go a long way today, that’s for sure.
But I have my ‘nanas and on Saturday I LOVE to play with them.
And they, with me, haha.

But after I play, I look (and feel) sort of funny…hmm…wonder why? Probably because it’s exhausting.
When my mom was a kid, she and her friends would go to the movies on Saturday afternoon…the all-day babysitter for the moms. The kids movies cost 10 cents. Mom got a 50 cent allowance, so she had 40 cents left over for popcorn, candy and soda. Nip nanners are the best. We wish they only cost a dime. We could have dozens of them. Well, mama and you are movie-sisters. Yes, it was a babysitter for so many moms and they would have contests in which kids would to up to the stage and eat crackers and then have to whistle! And win a prize. Also yo-you contests. What fun.

Those nanas are fun to roll around with – I have one I dig out of my toy box from time to time too Loulou! My Mom used to LOVE the dime store…she’d get jacks or candy most times.

Well, here, it’s FREEZING so I play indoors, being a …er…kitty with more years than before…like my mama and papa haha.
Around here the stores are now everything for £1. I bet that wont last too long in the current economic climate.
Nip bananas always leave me high for a bit. I suppose knowing I have to work afterwards is a bit stunning, hence how I looked stunned; nothing to do with the nip, MOL

The dime store was called “Woolworth’s” where I grew up; man oh man, Loulou, that was a few years ago now!

Boy, do we ever need something positive with this madman loose on the world. I am hoping that the Polish planes will protect the Ukrainians. He must not be allowed to intimidate the world and destroy a country overnight! They are valiant beyond belief, the Ukrainian people.
