Sentimental Journey

Well, I  was just lying here on my couch remembering the Christmases we have had in Italy with our family there and our genuine, good-smelling little (with emphasis on ‘little’) tree and mama’s ancient ornaments from her family and I was feeling a bit morose about whether Santa was even bothering to visit this year.

I don’t want or need ANYTHING, but kitties can’t have a glass of Christmas cheer, so I was just feeling a little melancholy.

Santa, or even Ms Claws, may not show up anywhere, for that matter, because everything is so out of kilter, whatever that is.

So I’m just ruminating on getting used to a totally different 24th, which is when we celebrate.

WHAT? What did you say, mama?

I have little package from Mya?

HEY, maybe it will help to get me out of this funk…

Well, it worked, and right now I am ignoring those ‘nanas, because under my paws is a PURPLE-FEATHERED-BRIGHT-GREEN-SILVER-SHINY MOUSE/BIRDIE and that’s enough for me this year.

My spirits are lifted, merci, Mya!

But I still have to wrap mama’s and papa’s little something, with emphasis on ‘little’, haha.

Hey, at least now I have the energy!

Uh, oh, where did I put that wrapping stuff…..

Dear Loulou – Santa knows it’s been a particularly horrid year for everyone and he is JOLLY so I’m sure he will be visiting everyone this year and bringing smiles of hope and gifts galore to everyone. I am sure you ALL will have a “merry little Christmas”……the world is full of hope and that’s a wonderful gift for us all!

Love, Teddy 🙂 <3

Loulou, sorry I am late coming over, but I want to say that happiness is in the wonderful family that holds you in the arms of love each and every day (know you already know that). And you are one of the happiest and most fun loving kitties we know, with a bright and shining spirit. Rest a bit, you’ll find it in you again soon, fur sure. Your friend, June.

Loulou – we all need a bit of Christmas cheer!! And my leash and harness from Dog Star will make me feel even more like a princess!! BUT this year is like no other in our lifetimes and I just hope it’s over SOON! And you can go back to Italy – and so can we!! Well, we don’t like car trips – but after getting there – FUN!!!!! You especially – with family!!!!

Humans may have their wine, but we kitties can toast and cheer to a lick of cream or egg nog (lactose free kind for those that get tummy aches from the too rich kind). Purr purr purr.
