The things I have to contend with…
Well, guess what mama and papa have discovered on their walks up the little road that is safe to walk upon because no one goes there and it’s a nice fresh air promenade and looks out over our little shut-down ville but just take one guess at what’s up there now?
THE DONKS ARE BACK!!!
That means that mama will start saving artichoke leaves and avocado skins and carrots and be drawn to them like the proverbial moth to the flame, whatever that is.
I don’t want competition.
But, wait a minute, she goes up there almost precisely at the moment I start my daily snooze, so what I don’t know won’t hurt me, right?
Whew, that was close.
And…those donks are just too cute to ignore…
But I’m still No. 1, right?

On the couch? I hope you’re kidding about that when there are three donkeys in a mule!
As long as she just visits the donkeys and doesn’t bring them home…all is well, Loulou.
Well, that is how I feel, too. Plus they would surely eat Bisky, our hibiscus wonder plant!
I think it’s really sweet that your Mama visits the donks when you’re napping….she doesn’t want to hurt your feelings! Nice of her to take special treats to them too. As long as the donkeys are where they are, and you are where you are, all is happy in the world right?

Well, they have been my rivals for some years, but I always come out first.
Well, Loulou – LOL – you don’t want avocado skins, I’m sure – we are thePrincesses of the house and only eat first class food and treats! Mamma would be crazy abuit the donks TOO – her uncle used to have one named Irving and he was sooooo funny. Good memories, so she says……
Donks are so cute, they do pull one’s attention. And so SWEET, mama says. I hope she’s not comparing me to THEM! I am sweet as sugar.
