Gone, but not forgotten…

HEY, guess what?  The little black female kitty-kitty was claimed by a neighbor, thank heaven, who called us from the number on the poster mama put up and said that she had lost her MALE, sort of brown kitty.  He had been gone for three days.

Well, Luna, as we named her, was jet black and female, mama surmised  (who can tell when they are so young?), but mama was in for a big surprise.

The neighbor came over anyway to see Luna and when Luna appeared she called “OSCAR” and HE came running.  Of course he was a fixed “he” and we thought he was a “she” but mama  had seen him pee in the garden and it was NOT the way I LOOK when…er…doing my ablutions.

Mama should have known, right?  Jeez…

Plus the neighbor said, “Oh, your sign says “affectionate” and he is not very affectionate at all”, but what did that Oscar do at MY house with mama but jump into mama’s arms and wiggle seductively the whole time HE was here, that little gigolo!

I’ll bet he was courting mama just for the FOOD, that little conniver! Whatever that is…

So all’s well that ends well, but I sure hope they put a collar and ID on him.  We were all set to send him off to, well, you know, and boy, that would NOT have been appropriate at all.  I’ll bet the vet would have laughed hysterically…at mama.

Well, all I can say about Oscar is that he is GONE, but in my book, he still had the balls to come here in the first place, haha.

He knows a good restaurant when he sees one.

PS: The family had added  a small kitten to their mix, and his mama said he was miffed…but hey, I was CLIMBING THE WALLS with that guy in the yard! Adios, amigo…

That’s great news about Oscar. But don’t be surprised if he shows up on your doorstep again. He now knows where the good food is.

What a good ending to that story and for the kitty getting to go back home, boy or girl.

HA! Well, while we’re happy Oscar is back home, we still think your Mama was a sweetie for trying to help Luna-Oscar live a better life. I will bet you it’s not the last time you see him either. I bet the peace and quiet he had THERE was nicer than the “new kitten” ball of energy back home and probably the food was yummier. Well, at least you are the proud “only kitty here” that you want to be dear Loulou. Thanks for helping Luna-Oscar though!!

Hugs, Teddy 🙂

Yay that’s fantastic news, Loulou! Seems as though Oscar deserves an Oscar for acting so affectionate in order to get some of your food. 😉

LOL – he was probably NOT happy about being “fixed” and wanted them to think about what they did! And yes – all’s well that ends well – including the presidential election!!!!!

Ha ! All’s well that ends well ! He sounds a bit like our ornery Oscar (who died last June from CKD)
Shortly before that, a new kitty showed up here and we thought it was female and it was screaming (for food) like a banshee,,,but it is a neutered male and very nice. Now called Mooch, since banshees are female, I guess.
