GOAL!!!!
Well, that may be a little risqué, as I am certainly NOT a tart, but it goes well with the soccer part since you know well mama’s propensity toward punning, and she insists that I use some of her dum…er…inspired titles.
Last nights’s match even got MY attention. La Roma, our favorite team, played the team from Milan and everyone thought we would get massacred. Instead, we played a beautiful game, passed well, and our star attacker, Džeko, not a spring chicken but oh, so able, put a perfect header into the goal for our first point.
I think that means we scored.
But I do sit entranced at times with soccer matches but eventually find myself drifting off into dreamland. Hey, I can’t chase the ball or do headers or put up my paws and stop a goal, so what’s the point? I only put in a video link today to interest some of the anthros out there who are soccer fans. Soccer is such a gorgeous game.
I wonder if a few kitties could Zoom with the litte red or white string game and see who catches it first? Just thinking up creative sports for kitties to fill these often long anticipatory days…
But these, too, shall pass, with leadership.
Patience. Courage. Hope. Empathy. Thoughtfulness. Very much needed right now among us all. NOT armed militias and dissention!

I see you watching the soccer match…..we rarely see it on TV here but once in a while we do and it’s quite exciting – constant movement and not a second of “boredom” !!!

A string game for kitties – now there is something I would watch, Loulou. I think the world would be a much better place if everyone just had a little more empathy.

teehee – well, Mama’s not a sports fan – but I AM!!! LOVE to chase my ball and toys. And yes, those values you mentioned are exactly what the world needs. Mamma can’t remember them since it’s 5AM and she’s only had a few sips of coffee! The world should be a kinder place for sure – no filled with hate. Well, except for those giant doggies that growl at me – and Mamma and Papa have to keep me in check….
