Kiwi Or Not Kiwi

That is the question!

Well, yesterday, mama found me rolling around in an open sack of kiwi vines and leaves she had just cut to prune the kiwis for better growth, and I was, to put it mildly, stoned out of my muzzle.

And then mama researched this and found that the Chinese give kiwi vines to their kitties to play with as a sort of ki-nip!  And the dried fruits can be used in my NEW KI-NIP TOYS, right, mama?

Who would have thought?  Right in our own backyard, a ki-nip paradise for kitties.  No wonder those Collioure ferals hang around here every now and then.

But they actually go to our neighbor’s garden where the kiwi’s trunk is planted and only twines up to us because the vines can’t help themselves and want to engulf the PLANET!

Which is why some are pruned and in a bag for ME, heh, heh.

So, live and learn, I say.

Or someone said.

Somewhere.

AND…

HAPPY BASTILLE DAY

We never knew that about kiwi plants. You better be careful, Loulou, or you’ll end up in rehab.

LOL – Loulou – you have found the answer all by yourself!! How did you KNOW!? Hey – cheaper than wine, non? Wonder if it works for doggies? Probably not. Oh well, kibbles aren’t bad – and we put on our masks and went to Blue Beach for a glass of wine late yesterday. Hardly anyone was there, so it was safe!Ad Mama got me 3 rawhide bones – I attacked the first one on Blue Beach!!!

Wow ! Who knew? We have heard similar things about honeysuckle, which the birds have planted around. But we did some research which says the leaves and berries may be toxic to cats and the woody stems are what kitties can have, except that “some species” may not be good for kitties…So it looks like we will stick to catnip – which our human needs to remember to water !
