Baffled by Birdies

Do birdies get wet in rain?

So here’s the question: what do birdies eat and where do birdies go in the rain, of which we have a lot today!  I know where I go, which is NOT outdoors because mama doesn’t want me to catch whatever it is you might catch in rain.  I happen to not catch ANYTHING very well, so I’m not too worried.

I tried to catch a lizard just last week and it was truly pitiful.  They are incredibly fast, those little devils, so I finally just decided to plop down and sunbathe.  Far more satisfying than collecting lizard tails, since that’s all they seem to leave behind when chased,  haha.

Papa says they grow back. WOW! Not sure mine would if lost…I’m holding it down with a paw!

We’ve seen the birds on our feeder when it’s raining. We don’t have lizards around here so we don’t know what lizard tail tastes like. Was it good? 😉

Well, Loulou – was the lizard tail tasty? Bet your mama could make it taste good – Lizard tail risotto, lizard pesto? Hmmm, maybe a bad idea. MY mama is trying all kinds of weird stuff in the “lockdown” – but as long as I get my kibbles and Dogador, I’m happy. Humans are so complicated……

Our birds go into the underbrush when it rains – we guess. We don’t see much of them because they hunker down.
Our huMom only puts out sunflower seeds, because the seed mixes get dumped while everyone goes for the sunflower seeds and that draws varmints. But there are lots of other things to eat – bugs when it isn’t raining, and worms, and rose hips and other plant parts.

Inside is a good place for you to be in the rain, LouLou !
