Well, evidently, WE, dear doggies and kitties (and rabbits and gerbils and ducks and all the rest) make it clear to you anthros that you really need us to keep you sane and calm during these difficult times.
Hey, I knew that before someone wrote an article! Duh.
Of course we are darlings and pretty good shrinks, when you think of all the problems and troubles that our mamas and papas talk to us about, expecting, I’m sure, solutions from US.
For example, around here, mama is always asking me, when I have fixed papa with my passionate, adoring stare, “Loulou, why are you drilling papa with that intense look,” and of course, papa knows full well that it’s because I idolize him (and his tummy rubs), a man among men (his scratches behind the ears are nice, too) and I know full well that when he rubs me and talks to me it’s exactly as if he is having a quick fix on the analyst’s couch!
It’s just that we get things done faster.
Sort of.
He’s been rubbing me and confessing all of his deepest anxieties and joys to me for…uh…about 10 years. If I had charged what those shrinks charge, papa would owe me a gazillion euros/dollars/whatever.
So, yes, having one of us around will definitely make these lock-downs tolerable. I’m all for what’s going to help us win this battle with the virus, plus I’ve never had so many belly rubs in my life!
Plus, I always give value for cost: I give papa a nice bath.

Well, Loulou, we are so lucky to be loved and taken care of and pampered. I wish that for every animal on the planet. it’s a big wish – but maybe one day people will see that we’re all in this together and pass the love around. Except to that mean little yorkie down the street. But she is loved, too – just surely jealous of my beauty, right?
Oh, I’m certain that’s the reason. Yorkies can be very jealous, haha.
I am glad we have our 10 cats to keep us busy right now.

Yes, LouLou, you companion animals are invaluable at this time. Especially those of us who have only animals we live with.
Well, I hear what you are saying, and yes, companion would be so good to have now. I am glad for your animals but you and mama can write when needed.
