Couchatater

I’m not  moving.

Well, instead of being a couch potato, I chose another word because being compared to a potato was not my favorite compliment from ANYONE (not that  I’m NOT one at times, but still…)

A couchatater is a discerning kitty who truly understands a couch, inside and out, who grasps the deep meaning  of having the proper couch upon which to loll,  the cerebral joy of finding oneself relaxed and inert upon one’s favorite spot, bonding with the couch in question much the way anthros bond with a dear friend.

A couchatater is subtly wise and chooses a spot on the couch carefully, after much consideration and weighing of all the pros and cons.

(Maybe cons is the key word here.)

But at  long last, after great consideration of all the possibilities at hand, the  couchatater finds peace and contentment at last.

I supposed I could have called myself a sofatater instead…

While you are reading in bed or watching TV on the couch, does your cat crawl up and lay upon you? Do they comfortably lie on your chest and maybe for hours together still and silent? You should feel very much flattered. Probably you are already making “Aww” and “Wow” while admiring them.
As a cat lover, there is actually no joy than curling up on a cold with the kitty just beside you or upon you. But do you know the logic behind why cats choose to lay on you? It may be comforting to imagine the way they cuddle because they love you. But honestly, they are using you.
We are not totally denying the fact they are seeking companionship. However, that is not the only reason; there are various methods on how the cats show that they love you. But lying on you has different meanings. Here we have listed down the reasons why the cats tend to lay upon you.

Sorry I am late to the Selfies. Work got in the way and it makes stuff a bit of a struggle, but I’m here 🙂

Have a good week.

teehee – no, we are not taters in the usual sense since we’re so smart! But we do like our lounge time. Lounge lizards? No, they eat bugs. Maybe Odalisques. Well, that wasn’t good either since they’re “loose women” and we’ve been “fixed” – whatever that means But they like to lounge. Well Couchatater does come closest.

Ah, I see you have found enlightenment in the Zen art of couches. Maybe we both should go for a sofa-ology degree? I hear the French Chaise Lounge Academy may have a few slots — two-day courses with meals delivered to the chaise 😉

Such a deep thinker. To ponder the unponderable. To think about thinking. That is what Sundays are all about.
