Well, here’s yet another you’re-not-going-to-believe-this incident from our whacky household. As you remember, mama doused her iPad in limoncello, but it continued to work and she went blithely on until things started going bonkers.
SO…a replacement arrived and she put in her old SFR chip, which is used here in France, and had NO cellular. So…the chip went into papa’s iPad and didn’t work there either, and those two went back and forth for an hour changing HIS good chip into mama’s new iPad and then trying the ‘faulty’ chip back in mama’s iPad and it didn’t work, of course, but mama took it out and blew on it and rubbed on it and then thought, hey, I’ll WASH it and so licked her SFR chip (she got that action from me) and guess what?

You’ll never guess!
IT TASTED LIKE LIMONCELLO! Duh…
And guess what else? IT WORKED AFTER THE LICK!
Thus avoiding a trip back to the computer fix-it place (a full morning’s run) and enabling mama to finally use her replacement, YAY!
Funny these weird things we do to fix tech problems, right?
But hey, mama, NO MORE LIMONCELLO BOTTLES IN THE PURSE!
(Maybe she’ll spill a bit on me next time…I know how to fix that, heh heh.)
