Welcome Mat

Oh, privacy and solitude!  Where have you gone?

I think you’re supposed to put one of those things out when a visitor comes, or when, for example, the PRODIGAL PARENTS return to their favorite kitty!  But we don’t seem to have one around here.  Hmm…maybe if I used one of mama’s kitchen towels, or even one of our new bath towels, and put it out there at the front door so THEY could wipe their feet and feel THEY were “welcomed”…haha.

Am I supposed to bring out treats and pour the champagne and string up balloons for THEIR return—after all I have been through just getting used to not having warm knees between which to snuggle (note my English, mama) and no daily interruptions of my snoozes when papa passes by and simply cannot resist my charms?

I ask you.

Still, I think they may have some regrets themselves after having opened two different doors in two different bedroom in two different cities and called, out of habit, “LOULOU, LOULOU” and after having turned around suddenly in said rooms to make the silly mistake of talking to papa’s briefcase!  Or mama’s fur hood!  Those guys miss me, there is no question.  But when they start talking to mama’s black boots, we’re in major woo-woo land.

Okay, me, I’m off to zzz-land.  And tomorrow, when they arrive back where they belong, I may or may not be in sight and may or may not come out until they are good and worried about my loyalty!
