Malala Leaves Her Mark

Today, mama was too much in tears to help me say what I wish to say, but after having listened to the speech of 16-year-old Malala Yusafzai with mama, I think that it would be best for anyone reading my blog today to listen to her beautiful words and know that all of us females, everywhere, be we anthros or kitties or doggies or anything female, will stand together for our rights, for education, for equality and for individual power. Only in solidarity will women move forward, and goodness knows, there have been some very big steps in the past to change the world for women and for kitties, but when this child, outside of her school, is shot in the face for wanting to learn, to succeed, to conquer ignorance and can then get up to speak before world leaders, then that can only be called hope. Hope for all women. Hope for all of us who are female. Even me.

Please listen. I did…

Malala just totally rocks! Recently a Taliban leader wrote to her urging her to come home and work for Islam. We think he used Google Translate and it misread what he actually typed, which was “come home and we will shoot you in the head again”.

Of course Malala has more sense and is staying safe. We see a bright future for this young woman

Amen! Mommy applauds this brave girl!
The best years of her life were spent working in a college for one of the educational departments. She was so proud of the students there!!
