HEY, POST–WHERE ARE YOU?
Well, I just wrote my blog and it disappeared into the ether, wherever that is.
I was writing about mama visiting the doc to see if her cough is serious and it’s not and he said to suck on lemon drops and drink gallons of water and it will wear itself out.
Don’t you just love docs like that?
Mama had a doc many years ago who often told his patients that he had had the same thing they complained about and then often just said, “Take an aspirin and you’ll feel better tomorrow.” Or, “Have a glass of wine tonight–you’re working too hard.” Or, when mama went to him with cramps, he said, “Oh, I’ve had the same thing, just try some Motrin.”
HAHA, he was funny.
But I’m glad that a blogger mentioned that she would love a Christmas gift wrapped in Easter paper–that shows real imagination. Hmm…maybe mama’s papers aren’t so bad after all.
Back to docs, MY doc is so nice and doesn’t stick me (well, okay, once a year) and praises me and cuddles me so I’m cool about going to the doc.
Wait a minute.
It’s the beginning of the year when she sticks me.
Uh, oh…I’m outta here!
We think your mama has a smart doc! We hope her cough goes away soon.
Unfortunately, it is hanging on. Bronchitis whatever that is. No sleep. BUT…the sun’ll come out, tomorrow la la la
EEK – ME TOO? Loulou – it’s around the first of the year that the SHOT happens. Oh nooooo – nowhere to hide! Well, glad your mama’s cough is nothing. Just takes time for stuff like that to go away. But lemon drops and gallons of water – wouldn’t that be sort of like – LIMONCELLO – !? Mama’s getting that twinkle – maybe it will prevent a cough!!??
If mama drank limoncello she would be out of commission for another month! NO booze for her to get well. Unfortunately.
hoping Mama feels better soon! I had gotten really sick in October with a terrible cough that lasted at least a month!
Oh, bananas! Mama’s cough is awful and doesn’t seem to move. But there are mutant viruses out there, that’s for sure. Hot lemon and honey chamomile is what we have around here. Or Robitussin DM but they don’t sell it in Europe….boo.
We’re glad to hear that your mommy isn’t too sick LouLou. Good mews indeed. We don’t like goin’ to the doctor, no cuddles ’round here. Just pokin’ and proddin’. They even shaved poor Raena’s whiskers off half her face when she had her eye surgery. Ya’ll take care. Big hugs

OH, NO!!! Shaved whiskers???k HORREUR! That takes away your senses and EVERYTHING.
Don’t blame you a bit, Loulou. We’d be out of there too. But it might help to wait until it’s time to go get stuck. Wait, that doesn’t sound right. Well, you know what we mean!

Glad Mama got some encouraging news about her cold. The saying is that a cold lasts to weeks if you treat it and fourteen days if you do nothing. But it sure seems longer.
We’ll, let’s see, it has been 9 days so I guess a bit to go. But it’s the #$%#! cough that is so awful. Keeps us ALL awake….
