OH, no, our Lily is in hospital? OH, dear.
Well, a very sad thing has happened to our dear friend, Lily, who is almost 90 and fell in her house and is now in hospital in Perpignan to recover. Mama and papa are so, so sorry not to be in our little ville to help her but she does have many able friends and I think we are going to call every day if possible. My kitty whisperer, Sue, is doing all she can to help keep up Lily’s spirits, I’m sure of that.
It’s so terrible when one has a fall and then must go to hospital.
We kitties are so lucky with our balancing abilities. Imagine if anthros could land on their feet with no problem even if falling from a high place or off a chair or ladder.
We send our love and hopes for a full recovery to Lily. She is such a wonderful woman, so competent, and she helps us so much in our little town, along with many others. Now she needs a bit of that!

This reminds me that some years ago, while visiting a friend, my two doggies were playing in the garden when Charly, my poodle, started to bark and bark and bark.
I went out and saw him bark while looking at something in the garden next door. This something was an elderly lady who had fallen on both knees, who was unable to move and whose cries for help were too weak to be heard. She lived on her own and so it was fortunate that Charly spotted her.
She underwent surgery on both knees.

Yes, and what a film and what a doggy that Charly must have been! We are so very worried for our Lily.

Oh, Ellen, you are so kind. You would love this lady—she twinkles all the time and is very young for being almost ninety, but lately she has been slowing down a bit. I wish so much we were there to help.
We are wishing our dear wonderful and wise friend Lily a fast and complete recovery. Mama has worried about her in that house with all the stairs (which mama – and I would have already rolled down at least a few times!) and is going to call, with papa, in the morning. Health is our most important gift – and love. We should never take either for granted!
Yes, there are many stairs in her house. We’re not sure where she fell but anywhere is bad!
