Hey, there, today is an important day.
Well, today, I just have to put in two links, one of which will convert ANY dogs-only or rabbits-only or gerbils-only family to a LET’S-GET-A-KITTY-NOW family. This second one from Mya’s maman is just fun to know about.
Today is Columbus Day and I quote from a description of one overview of the holiday from the internet — “This holiday is controversial because the European settlement in the Americas led to the demise of the history and culture of the indigenous peoples.” So the day he arrived, did he realize that he was a VISITOR, not a conqueror? What a day that must have been.
Food for thought.
We might not be here were it not for Columbus, but then again, perhaps someone more partial to understanding the peoples and places he discovered might have been a better deal.
Hard to rewrite history.
I think I’ll rewrite the future: tomorrow I will have double kibble and mozzarella tidbits. We kitties can ponder the mistakes of history ad nauseam but it probably won’t change anthros’ dumb behavior very much…

Something to ponder for sure!! Come to think of it – all those anthro ancestors were pretty scary and did some really dumb and cruel things. Sacrifice comes to mind – still goes on in certain cultures. Oops – but where does the meat in our kibbles come from? OH MY. Well, those mozzarella tidbits sound deelish – but I am now hooked on camembert – they’d just better not hide a pill in it next time!! Keep your eye on the mozzarella, Loulou – our mamas can be devious……

This year Columbus, Ohio, decided it would skip its Columbus Day parade. Of course, thanks to the post office, the US Columbus Day was Monday, Oct 8. That may have put a damper on things.
Oh, well, someone is thinking and responding…
