What on earth can I give papa for Heart Day?
Haha, I meant HARD to find, but not really. I love puns. It’s just that February is a special month around here, seeing as how mama and papa are hopeless romantics, whatever they are, and they mush around and hug and have twinkles in their eyes because they both LOVE Valentine’s Day.
It’s not here yet, you two snugglers! Keep those snuggles for ME–daily–not just on some old special saint’s day!
YES, YES, papa, right THERE!
BUT–there is always the question of what to get for papa. He has everything he needs, but I wanted to get him something really nice to show my affection and love for him (and to keep him snuggling me all day long!) so if you have any ideas, just shoot them along to lil’ ole me, and merci.
Meanwhile, it is FIVE degrees C, which means, in short COLDER THAN A KITTY’S NOSE, haha. And raining. I’m headed for my comforter, which has become my second home, haha.
Then, I’m outta here to contemplate this gift-giving conundrum, whatever that is.

We were going to suggest a soft bitey on the hand in the middle of the night but yes, perhaps a pink mousie would be better…. unless you like giving soft nibbles.
Mama loves and understands soft nibble (especially when I bathe her) but papa is wary of the teeth thing. Maybe I’ll stick to the mouse, I mean mousse.
Ooooooh – I LOVE the idea of a mousse-mouse for Papa!!! You can make it in CATamini (in secret) – a foie gras or liver mousse (in shades of gray – a heavy coating of crushed black pepper?) – or a sweet pink mousse!? Now mama is going to hve to think of something to papa from me – a bone shaped something? A lot easier than a mouse, teehee!!!! Have fun Loulou – this should be good…….

We had to search and evidently 5 deg C is equal to 41 deg F??? If so, you’re a few degrees warmer than we are right now at 37F. Brrrr. And Jan just got treated to a Dairy Queen ice cream cone so we need to go help her thaw out. 🙂

hello my cuddly sweetheart – ros is still in lots of pain, but is cutting back on the oxycodone by using something called pain power that grandpa Barrie found at the health store – the ortho surgeon said there is nothin he can do – grandma just has to tough it out and try wriggling fingers and using the good arm to try and move the bad into different positions – he says after about 6 weeks we can maybe try PT when it will not be so painful ..
Okay, mama is writing NOW! Or in exactly two hours, no more. I thought it was a foot tendon or rather an ankle tendon but the hand ones are very painful. DAMN. Hugs and snuggles, Grandma Ros. Mama is going to write.

Definitely want to give your human a list of the best things they can give you to make you extra happy and snuggly on Valentines day. That usually works for me and as long as you steer clear of power tools and put down sensible things such as cream, nip, mice and a days worth of tickles and rubs, you should ALL have a great day!

It seems to be traditional for kitties to gift their humans with a food item..say a dead (or not) bird, squirrel, chipmunk…Maybe you can find something more appropriate for Mama to make into a delicious dish. A mouse mousse ?
