I like to WATCH anthros exercise.

Well, they went off walking without me this morning to do something called exercise but that is beyond my reasoning or interest.  I go up and down a rock. Basta! C’est suffit.

But they did take some nice little photos of our sweet ville at morning, even a couple of snaps of cormorants in love…er…you know what I mean. ‘Tis the season around here for birds and bees, it seems.

The male is flapping his very nicely shaped wings and the female is saying, “What on earth are you doing, flapping around like that? GO FISH!

Evidently cormorants for al their abilities to dive and surface many yards away will steal anything they can get from a fisherman’s catch and so are not loved in a fishing community, but in early morning they are lovely to watch, dipping and emerging heaven knows where next.

Here are our plane trees in winter, looking very like the sardane dance that is native to our Catalan area.  Papa calls it the sardine dance…

Here is the Catalan sardane, a lovely dance that both men and women perform on special days or sometimes just for the fun of it.  The steps are complicated!

Uh, oh, here’s a string of the caterpillars called chenilles who can make you swell up like crazy if they bite you.  Animals should stay away for sure because they can make an animal’s tongue swell up dangerously.  They are attacking the pine trees here but pretty soon the city will put out envelopes of poison for them.

And this is a tableau of our little town, complete with beach simulation, but it looks like a really good liter box to me!

And here’s papa, strolling down one of our sweet little narrow streets.

Which birdie is which?  The one on the right is to scare off the one on the left.  Bonne chance.

Winter in our cafes…no takers.

The sky behind the ‘castle’ that perches on a hill overlooking the town.  This is a view from our house.

Nearby above the beach, a children’s area has a great view of the sea.

Tangerines from Spain are everywhere in winter.  Helps to keep everyone healthy.

Here’s mama chatting up Petit Louie, who makes beautiful miniature ships out of wood in his workshop.  He is 98 years old and every day takes a walk through the town and greets everyone and says it’s to keep up his health.  Well, it WORKS!  And mama says he doesn’t ACT like someone 98….

Petit’ Louie building his ships, even now.  I think I would fit in that blue one for a little spin on the sea.

The famous purple artichokes that mama does something with anytime, anywhere, anyhow.  I think I have to finish this up and go help her in the kitchen.  She did say melted butter and lemon were on tonight’s artichoke menu…

OH, NO!!! Not again, mama.  And NO, he cannot come for artichokes at our house. No way, no how!
