Well, you may not believe this, but this is one of the little streets in my town that is laid with REAL grass every year to celebrate a painting called “dejeuner sur l’erbe”, which means a picnic on the grass (see below).

And everyone comes in whatever the theme is, which this year was “Wine and Paintings” or something like that, and people decorated their hats with wine corks and grapes and mama wore her grape earrings and some of her and papa’s friends took their picnics and ate right there on the grass although I understood that they were the only ones doing it.  Maybe they just know how to have fun!

Maybe tomorrow will be a bit more active but there is one thing that is sure: KITTIES are not allowed, even though mama and her friends saw a doggy on a leash who was starting up the path with his owner and guess what he was about to do? One guess. Mama’s friend is the mama of Mya, that doggy I love, and mama’s friend said she didn’t bring Mya with her because of JUST THAT REASON.  A doggy sees a long carpet of real grass and starts to imagine all sorts of things that could happen there…he understands who understands, right?

So I missed the picnic but maybe tomorrow I could sneak into mama’s shopping cart and when she goes to the open market, which is just around the corner from the little grassy street, I can sneak out and take a peek…I said, take a PEEK–not what that doggy was doing! And then mama said to her friend, “Well, if we’re doing that painting, we may as well be nude!”

And her friend, always ready for a good laugh,  Maybe I’ll wear my little nude kitty bodysuit tomorrow when I stow away… I’ll fit right in with those guys in the berets.

I hope someone brought pate in his picnic basket…

I could share with this doggy.  He looks as if he needs a friend!
