Now, see, this is a rare picture of an artist actually WORKING. Thanks to me. I meow and meow and meow until she opens the door to her studio and WE go in to WORK.
This, instead, is a picture of an artist NOT working at all but instead hanging out with ME, which is what she is doing here during these holidays when there is all the time in the world to pop something out on the canvas, but has she even picked up a brush more than, say twice? NO, she hasn’t, wastrel that she is. I can’t really say lazy because we DO have a nice supply of chocolate truffles and plum puddings for gifts, but hey, there’s alot of time after those guys are in their boxes, right?
I have to get her off her duff, whatever that is.
How can I inspire this lazy, no-good bum to get WITH IT and CREATE! She was going to do something for papa for Christmas, but do you know what day is today? IT’S LESS THAN TWO WEEKS BEFORE SHE WOULD HAVE TO WRAP IT AN STUFF IT UNDER THE TREE!!! Or under the couch, more likely–it certainly will not fit under our few little branches.
Maybe if I slipped some super vitamins into her kibble.
Or suggested that she make her morning coffee just a tad stronger? Maybe I should just do what I do in that other place–meow and meow and meow NEXT to the canvas until she finally gets the picture, so to speak.
Well, it’s not my affair, really, but I hate to see those paints and that canvas sitting there blank as a snowman and mama with nothing to show for all the thinking about it she has been doing.
I think that’s the problem. NO MORE THINKING ALLOWED. ONLY DOING! Okay, mama get with it!
I can’t do all the work around here okay? And I can’t hold a BRUSH!
(I suppose I could paint with my whiskers, n0? Hmmmm…)

LOULOU, You wake me up always with giggles!!! You look so startled in that first shot like “I can’t believe I actually meeeowed her into painting”. And that last one is the Loulou the slavedriver look – keep painting OR ELSE. Not sure what “or else” might be, but I know what a clever, diabolical kitty you can be……..moi, all I’ve learned to manipulate my humanoids to do revolves around food. But that’s a Dog Thing.
Oh, yeah? FOOD is a capital F around here, as is Manipulation, haha. You gotta read Makin’ Biscuits.

Oh LouLou, your mommys’ studio is so pawsum. Mommy has to do everythin’ sittin’ in her chair in da livin’ room. Her easel got broke by da movers when our ‘pawrtment flooded, so she hasn’t really painted since. Maybe someday she’ll be able to afford another. Ya’ know, just a small table top easel or somethin’??. She’s never tried dat, so maybe she can check into dat. Hope you can get your mommy creatin’ and paintin’ again soon. Big hugs to all.
