Mama and her mama…Thank you, grandmama, for having mama!!! Or I wouldn’t have dinner…

Well, that’s mama. Years ago when mama’s mama was sort of thinking that mama should (what they called then) “come out” and mama had no intention of doing that for many reasons, she told her mama, very kindly and calmly, that she had “come out” when she was born and didn’t need to come out again.

Well that was today and mama is real, real happy that she DID come out, especially into such a wonderful, loving family such as hers. I wish I had known her mama because she was a pistol and loved to have fun and play jokes and if it weren’t for HER, mama wouldn’t be here at ALL, so thank you, grandmama in the sky or wherever you are.

Now, mama’s in the kitchen whipping up some guacamole to take to a friend’s house because the weather was so iffy today that I kept going in and out of the house, getting sprinkled on several times in my secret lair under the yellow bush, and then coming in out of the rain and then going out again when the sun began to shine, and now I’m housebound and the restaurant mama and papa wanted to go to, invited by friends, can’t serve dinner in the rain because it’s outside, and so the friends are throwing things together for an apero (drinks and tidbits) at their house instead and that’s why mama is taking everything out of the fridge that needs to be eaten and taking it to the gathering, so it’s going to be a small celebration but a really nice one.

No one finds me here, haha. Especially when I’m out of focus….

And I—I am here once again ALONE with that crazy radio station they put on for me to make me feel loved and happy and little do they know that I change it when they leave to the rock station (hey, I”ve even listened to heavy metal, flamenco, jazz and madrigals!) because even thoughI love opera, you can get a bit too much sometimes when you’re trying to SLEEP!!!

I mean, if it’s Puccini, okay, but once they put on Carmina Burana and even though I loved it, too, I did not get a wink!

Auguri, mama. Later I’m going to bring you in a nice lizard, all wrapped up—or maybe something else…mama loves surprises. I’ll put it right on her pillow!!!
