Oh, boy, mama has put out those balls of suet and seeds that everyone around here seems to think they should buy each winter—to be nice to the poor birdies who can’t forage for themselves in cold weather, yadda, yadda, yadda.  I think they’re just fakin’ it…

Well, from a kitty’s point of view, yeah, sure, it’s like TV for me, mama, these balls twirling from the lemon tree and all these little feathered creatures seemingly forgetting their pecking order for minute—they all eat together and appear chirpy with it!  Maybe there’s hope for us all if birdies can work together.

Of course, where food is concerned, anthros tend either cooperate or kill.  All of those poor starving kids in Afganistan and the refugees from Syria and so many other places around the world—none of them with proper food and water.

Everytime mama turns on our beautifully flowing water or checks out that crust of bread left in the basket, she thinks about how much we waste, how much we toss out that would be a feast for so many others.  How lucky these little fluffballs are that people in this little community provide for their scarce winters.  And at least, we have the donkeys and they need food, too, which is where a lot of the garbage goes.  And there is the compost pile. That helps.

But, of course, someone provides for me and so I guess those batty beaks have more in common with me than I imagined.  We are so, so lucky, unlike so much of the world.

Well, you just keep on peepin’, you little seed-pickers, and be thankful you have food in your tiny bodies instead of having to wait in long lines, hoping for a beakful of something that doesn’t even keep a bird alive!

Papa just said to mama, “Boy, is Loulou happy that you’ve added a couple of new channels to her TV.”

Hey, three bird balls to oogle are always better than one.

Hey, those little peckers can go through fifty in a DAY!!!! Well, maybe a month or so…
