So are you party animals out there ready for the big bash?

Maybe fete, but also fate, if I may say so. First of all, it’s Papa’s Day and Happy Papa’s Day to papas everywhere.  I sure am happy I have mine.

So is mama, I might add.

It’s just lucky that some of my friends were in town to help me have this little gathering before THEY return.  Welcome to the Summer Samba bash—these two are among the guests, Mya and Mignon, about to wiggle up to the Nip bar and tie one on.

“Can we bring this basket, too, because otherwise Mya won’t come?”

Sure, bring the basket, but make sure it’s filled with stuff to munch on and swig, okay?

We do have a water fountain outdoors but…

HEY, someone was supposed to clean up our watering hole!  You just can’t get good anthro help any longer.

I have to clean up a bit before my guests arrive.  This was NOT easy, all this planning and making all the pizza and stuff.

Num num, but you can see I put LOTS of anchois (anchovies) on the pizze (plural of pizza).

There’s nip for everyone—roll all you want.

Haha, our Nip bar’s most watered martinis, but I do have a thing for olives.  Darn, my bartender forgot the nip leaf!

Enough anchovies to go around, no?  Feel free to slide around in them.

I’m poaching these with a little tuna reduction, served with just a tad of mayo and garnished with julienne nip leaves.

Lordy, I’m exhausted.  Just planning this shindig and hosting did me in.  Is it over yet?

But thanks for coming.  And Marcus, you were a great bouncer, even if you thought bouncer meant bouncing around in the garden.  Hey, mama will repair all the tomato and flower damage, don’t worry.  I don’t throw these things that often.  But I’m thinking that Papa’s Day is a good excuse for an all-nighter…
